Hi there!
It is time for some inspiration for Scrapbook Nerd. This week is a pretty busy one for me, so i wanted to share with you how to create a quick and sweet layout using the new Maggie Holmes Heritage collection.
Once i chose the background for my page (the stripe paper from the collection), i used an edge punch to create the scallop border on two of the collection papers. These were trimmed to just fit on the top part of the paper and then attached to the background.
The beautiful specialty paper from this collection is the perfect layer behind the picture. Since there is lots of white space on the top part of the picture, i chose to create an embellishment cluster using ephemera, clear stickers and puffy stickers .
I added a few cut outs (created with cut files from Handipaper) to the left side of the page, and under the paper scallops to stretch the design. The large chipboard sticker was perfect to create the title of my page.
To finish the page, I added a small cluster of embellishments at the bottom of the page, and then followed it with my lines of journal. A few splatters of gold ink complete this page...
i love how this came together in a short amount of time, i have created a small video that will show you how this was built:
As always, please check SCRAPBOOK NERD for all the materials used in this page, and make sure to leave a comment if you have questions on how this came together.
XO
