OUR DOG

Hey there!  I have been dying to work with the new DOGGONE CUTE collection! As a mom of our loved fur-baby, Poochie, our 13 yr old Boston Terrier, nothing makes me happy than to document him as I do my other two children (though they are not as cute as my little guy!)

I wanted to showcase as many of the patterns and colors from the collection,  so I chose to use a metal die to cut a few hearts from the 6x6 paper pad.

The Here Boy paper was the perfect color and pattern for the layout's background.  I simply added the vellum paper from the Shadow Box kit before attaching all the hearts to across the page.

A bit of foam adhesive helps to add dimension to the hearts, and also help to add  just a few embellishments to the page.

I nestled the photos a top and bottom of the row of hearts, and added a few embellishments to the top left corner of each of the photos -I chose a similar woodgrain pattern to tie them all together-.

To finish the page, I added a piece of Chit Chat to the bottom right corner of the photos to serve as the title. Then added a piece of the icon sticker package at the bottom of the vellum.  I added my baby's name using the new Alphabet Soup Puffy Stickers.

A few Sprinkles complete my page!  I love how this turned out, and I am so excited to continue adding more memories using the new DOGGONE CUTE collection!

SPOILED - Doodlebug Design

Hey there!  I don't know about you, but the fur babies in our households are "spoiled".   My cat-nephew, "Chico", is probably one of the most loved and spoiled   ones out there.  So, I used the beautiful Pretty Kitty collection to create this layout:

I love playing with paper, so I sat with the 6x6 paper pad, and a pair of scissors to create this page, like  seriously that is all it took!

I started by cutting a heart from copy paper, then cut strips of patterned paper at about 1.5-3in wide and of different lengths.  I started gluing them to the heart starting from the bottom of the heart.   I set the paper strips at different places on the heart, so that they create that cascading effect on the heart.

Petite Prints are always my top choice for backgrounds. This  time, I added a letter size white cardstock page to the center of the layout, then glued the heart on top of it.   A soft layer of vellum adds just a bit of separation while framing the pictures of our Chico.

The Chit-Chat banners were the perfect addition to the paper layers.. I added a small paw print next to each of them.   In order to create some movement on the page, and also emphasize the layers, I added a few Sprinkles between the paper layers.

I followed the line of the embellishments to create the placement of my title at the right bottom of the heart.

I love how this turned out, and  it was so much fun and relaxing to just play with all the patterns in the Pretty Kitty collection.  Be sure to check it out!
