hi there!
Nathalie with you today with a few projects that combine the beautiful Office Hours and Just A Little Lovely collection. I thought it was time to mix and match the leftover pieces of these collections on a few layouts. Though the collections are so different, they can easily be combined with a bit of help from cut files, dies and mixed media, let me show you...
My starting point for this page was the Highlight paper from the Just A Little Lovely collection. The soft watercolor marks in the paper gave me the idea of bringing a rainbow to the page; so, i pulled the Rainbow with Splatters washi tape adhere to white cardstock and then used the Essential: Basic Label Frames Die set to cut the cardstock into different size hexagons.
The washi hexagons were then attached to the background using foam adhesive and following the colors marked on the paper. This created an ideal placement for the picture and title for this page.
For the title, i used a the Lovely Square cut file to cut the title for this page from the Possibility paper from the Just A Little Lovely paper, and set it above an offset of the word, then used alphas from the same collection to complete it.
To finish the page, i fussy cut floral elements from the One Fine Day paper and attached them around some of the hexagon clusters. A few other embellishments from the same collection -Just A Little Lovely- were also added throughout the page, and then i finished the layout with a few splatters of Liquid Watercolor in coordinating colors. You can see how this page came together in the following video:
Love how this came together, and now let's look at other project created with a mix of the collections...
For this page, i started with a bit of mixed media on the background, as i wanted to make all the elements on this page stand out. The Licorice Liquid Watercolor was the perfect color to create a clear canvas for this page.
I chose the Floral Tag cut file for this page, as I love the combination of the soft florals and the functional tag, so i used a combination of both collections to back the cut out, and even used a bit of liquid watercolor to create patterned paper for the areas were i had run out of paper already.
To build the page, i set the tag on the mixed media background, started clustering embellishments around the picture ( i also cut a second set of the florals, so that it could be used as an embellishment on the page) from both Just A Little Lovely and Office Hours collection.
For the title, i used a combination of alphas from the Office Hours collection (just love that script alpha!) and then added my lines of journal to complete this page. The following video will show a more detailed look on how this page came together
i hope these have inspired you to mix your Pinkfresh Studio collections and use all the leftover pieces to create your next project. As always, if you have questions on how these came together, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Happy Crafting everyone!
