hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW OCTOBER 2019 STENCIL/WASHI TAPE/DIE CUT TAPE RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY. You are arriving from Norine's blog ( a list of all the participants has been added at the bottom of this post).
I am so excited to be joining the Altenew Blog hop and get a chance to work with these new amazing products. It was so hard to just chose a few of the products as the entire release is gorgeous, but i think you are going to love what i created with my selection, so let's get started...
To celebrate my love for Fall, and the excitement of finding color on my walks, I used the Leaves and Berries stencil to create the background on the page. I combined a few colors of ink (Misty Mountain, Coral Bliss, Evergreen, Sunkissed) that also show in the Gilded Greenery washi tape that is also used in the background of this page.
I chose to pick the gold accents to the Gilded Greenery washi tape by using a piece of the Golden Dots washi tape. It was attached to a piece of white cardstock, and then i used the Simply Hello die to cut the word from the washi/cardstock. The following video will show you how it all came together:
I love the new washi tapes, but this release also has a few die cut tapes, I used the Vibrant Spray tape to create a new layout on my family album ( Citrus Twist Kits).
This new Vibrant Spray Diecut tape is so bold and beautiful that can easily serve as the background and embellishment for a page at once. All i did was attach pieces of the tape at the edges of the pages and then take advantage of the empty spaces to document our memories.
The Vibrant Spray tape makes documenting so easy, all i had to do was add my picture, use the typewriter to write about this memory, and then added some sentiments from the Wispy Begonia and Wavy Roses stamp set to finish the page.
For my next project i focused solely on the Rose Bouquet stencil and Altenew Inks.
I created a triangle of impressions on the page so that your eye travels throughout the page. For this i used the Shades of Purple and Rose Petal mini ink cube sets to detail the flowers, thus picking up the color of my niece's dress.
The soft background just needed a few embellishments and a bold title to shine through. The sentiments on the Golden Feather stamp set were perfect to complete this page. The follow video will show you how it all came together:
Just love the page and how easy it came together. Working with this new release was such a treat but i couldn't pass the Calming Bouquet washi tape, it is just such a beautiful and versatile tape...
I started by attaching the Calming Bouquet washi to a piece of smooth white cardstock, and then fussy cut quite a few of the flowers. The flowers needed an anchor piece, so i used the Nesting Label dies to cut a large label from white cardstock.
I glued the label to the left side of the card and then added the flowers atop of the label. To create the sentiment of the card, i attached the Graph Die tape to a piece of pink cardstock and used the Simply Hello die to cut the sentiment. I paired it with a sentiment from the Wavy Roses stamp set.
My last project is all about mixing a few of the new goodies in one page, For this, i used the Gradient lines washi tape to create the anchor paper for the layout (just attached the washi tape to smooth cardstock)
Then i used the new Honeycomb stencil and Altenew inks to add a bit of distress to the background of the page. Then used the Calming Bouquet fussy cut images to decorate the page.
A bit of Golden Dots washi tape was used to create a frame for the picture, and then all was left to do was add a bit of foam adhesive to the back of the flowers, Here is a small video that will show you how it all came together:
I think you can tell, i really enjoyed this release, and couldn't put it down. I am sure you will love it, too
