Altenew + Pinkfresh Studio “Celebrate” Collaboration Blog Hop Details + Giveaway

Hi there!
Welcome to the Altenew+Pinkfresh Studio "CELEBRATE" Collaboration Blog Hop Details + Giveaway!   You are arriving from the Pinkfresh Studio Blog  - a list of all the blog hop participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience-

Today, two of my most favorite companies are collaborating in one gorgeous collection "CELEBRATE".  I am so blessed to be part of both design teams, so it was a joy to be able to mix and match stamps, dies, embellishments and papers in my memory keeping.  Let me show you:

For my first spread, i used the Celebrate Us Stamp and Die set to create the gorgeous florals that cascade through the two pages of my spread.

I chose the  This Day paper as the background for the page, then decided to stamp the flowers using Obsidian ink for the outline, and then using just the detailing part of the stamp set to add details to the images (  Altenew Crisp Inks: Parrot, Coral Berry, Buttercream, Rose Quartz, Baby Pink).

I added my lines of journal to a piece of vellum. I added a die cut word (Celebrate Us Die Set) at the top of the journal lines, and then attached it to the background.  Just a few embellishments ( Altenew Enamel dots) and then one of the Celebrate Ephemera pieces as a title.

Simple, colorful and just perfect.  But there is so much more that you can create with this collection, let me show you a pocket page layout:

For this spread, i started by creating my journal page using the Always patterned paper.  I trimmed it to the painted details sit at the top corner of the page.  This time, i used the  Celebrate Today stamp set and Obsidian Ink to create the border around the painted area of the paper - using a mask helps to create the corner cluster stamped image-.

For my title page, i decided to replicate the journal page, and trimmed a corner of the Always paper to fit a 3x4 card pocket.  Then followed by stamping the Celebrate Today floral image on the bottom corner, and finally creating the title with the sentiments  of the same stamp set.  The small heart from the Celebrate Ephemera complete the card.

I just backed my picture with a piece of the This Day paper and then created   a small phrase sentiment using the Celebrate Today stamp sentiments.   This new collection is the perfect combination of paper, embellishments and of course stamps and dies.

For my last project, i decided to combine the entire collection in one scrapbook page:

For this page, i used the leftover piece of the  Always Paper and paired it up with the Progress paper for the background.

I used the Celebrate Us stamp set  to create all the florals. This time, i used Altenew's Obsidian Ink for the outline, and Pinkfresh Studio Crip Inks in: Misty Coat, Lemmon Whip, Ballet Slipper, Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef, Fresh Pear and Olive to detail the flowers.

I used the Celebrate Today stamp set to add a little bit of interest to the background.  Using Pinkfresh Studio Crisp inks  ( in coordinating colors as the background), i added a soft impression of the floral cluster and then some of the sentiments to the page.  Then added a few splatters of the diluted ink and Altenew's Metallic Watercolor palette.

To finish the page, i used the Celebrate Us Die set and Pinkfresh Studio Phrase Builder: You Die Set to create the title words.   The following video will show you how this page came together:

Just love how this page came together using the new Celebrate collection...

Of course no celebration is complete without a GIVEAWAY:

Altenew May 2020 Washi Tapes Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!
Welcome to the Altenew May 2020 Washi Tapes Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You are arriving from Altenew Card Blog  - a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience-.   Today, Altenew is releasing a brand new set of colorful and super fun new washi tapes, "YAY!"

The new washi tapes are the perfect combination of color ( who doesn't love a rainbow!) and beautiful more neutral designs that can easily be used in all types of paper crafting.  Let me show you what i have created...

After over two months at home, I am in desperate need of a haircut, and since i am keeping a detailed journal of my days, i thought i will bring my favorite combination onto this entry, Black and white with a hint of rainbow..   So i started by typing my journal lines, and then added a strip of the new MANY DOTS washi Tape to the top and bottom of the page.

I wanted the title to stand out, so i attached a piece of INSTANT RAINBOW washi to white cardstock and used the Bold Alpha die to cut the title out.   I used small pieces of the same washi to create a strip of rainbow on vellum, and add it to the bottom of the page.  To finish, i added a strip of the GRADIENT RAINBOW washi tape to the side of the picture.  Love how easy this came together.

Washi tapes are  easy and fast way to add interest to a journal page. This time, i used the GRAND STREAM washi tape to create the background for my journal.  I simply attached a strip of the wide washi along the page, then printed my lines of journal on vellum, and attached it to the top of the page.

Next, i used the CONCRETE WALL washi tape to create the background for my picture.  This time, i attached it to a piece of paper and then punched the holes to fit in my album.  Then used the left over piece to cut the title for this page using the Fine Alphabet Die set. A few other embellishments complete the entry. Simple and quick!

I think out of all the new releases the GEO RAINBOW Washi Tape is probably a new favorite.  I love linear designs, and decided to highlight the small colorful squares in this layout for my doggie's album.

I covered half the page with the BRUSHED GRID Washi Tape.  I used the GEO RAINBOW washi to cover a piece of cardstock, and decided to cut away a few of the color squares and replace them with colorful puffy hearts.  The cut apart squares were then attached to the page with a bit of foam adhesive to add some dimension to the page.

I used the GRADIENT STREAM washi tape to create the mat for my picture and then used the Script words die to create the title.    Just love how the color combination along with the dimension on the grid make the simple page stand out.

I am sure that we all have missed many celebrations while in quarantine, however, i was able to ship presents around, and here is one of the packages that went out (for my sister's bday).  Once i wrapped the box, i simply added the BLOCK RAINBOW washi along the center of the box.

To avoid adding bulk to the shipment box, i chose to create a small tag, and added the  INSTANT RAINBOW WASHI TAPE to the center of the tag, then added a small sentiment -created using the Handwritten Hello Die Set- .  I know this present was a hit! and actually my little sister saved the wrapping paper!

Now, onto the last project of  this post.  This time, i created a card using the new GOLD SPLATTER BLUSH Washi Tape.  I covered a card panel with the washi and decided to glue it onto the card on a slight slant.   I used the left over piece of the panel to cut the sentiment  using the Script Words die set.

I had a few extra white embossed kraft paper Watercolor Roses, and created a small cluster on the card front.    I used a bit of foam adhesive to attach the title, then added a dew of the Antique Gold sequins to complete the card!

As you can see i love working with washi tape, it is probably one of the most versatile products you can have in your stash.

This is all for me!  but before you go, it is time for the fun part of this hop: GIVEAWAY time!!!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Torch Ginger Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: TORCH GINGER RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Altenew Card Blog ( a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post).

This month's BAF: TORCH GINGER is a great addition to the family.  The stamp is detailed, and easy to layer, so you will be creating lots of these flowers in a short amount of time.   The size of the image is perfect for memory keeping, so i used it to create a 12x12 layout:

I used inks from the Red Cosmos and Tea Party Mini Ink cube set to create the flowers for the page, and Green Meadow Ink set to stamp the images.  However, i chose to skip the first (full image of the flower)after stamping the outline with Obsidian ink, so that i can get a softer image of the flower.

After stamping and die cutting all the flowers.  I used theCreative Edges: Lace die set to cut a few decorative strips of paper, and also added a bit of color to the background using the Wavy Grid stencil and Jet Black ink.

Though the strips of paper anchor the page, the small  marker (Artist Marker set E)  lines at the bottom of the page help to ground the flowers to the layout.   These are so easy to cluster using a bit of foam adhesive between them.  The following video will show you how the page came together:

Just love how easy this came together...

I am sure you all are ready for the fun part of this blog hop:  GIVEAWAY time

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog for a chance to win. Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Iris & Watercolor Essential Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW  PAINT- A-FLOWER: IRIS & WATERCOLOR ESSENTIAL SET Release Blog Hop + Giveaway.  You are arriving from Virginia's blog, and i hope you are inspired by her beautiful creations - a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post-.

This month's PAINT-A-FLOWER: IRIS is just such a beautiful addition to this new collection.  The details in  the design are delicate and perfect for all sorts of projects.

I love the simple movement of the flower, so i  set to create a card for my first project.  I stamped the  PAF: IRIS image on heavy white cardstock using Obsidian Pigment ink, and used the new WATERCOLOR ESSENTIAL 12 Pan Set to detail it.  Once i was done with the flower, i used the pan set to add a wash of color to the card.

I cut my panel in such way that the lower flower is off the panel.  At the same i used Altenew's Antique Gold Metallic Spray to add splatters to white cardstock, and layer a piece of it under the finished card panel: then used colored cardstock to create the card.    To finish, i added a stamped sentiment from the PAF: IRIS  set followed by a few scattered sequins.

It is not secret that i love watercolor, so what better way to create a fun page for my journal than to use the new 9x12 WATERCOLOR PAPER PAD and the WATERCOLOR ESSENTIAL 12 PAN SET to create an entry for my Family Album.

This time, i created a rainbow explosion on the page, by adding water and then pigment so to create the blooming effect of the color on the page.  Once the watercolor dried, i used coordinating inks and the Linear Stencil to create the tone on tone background detail.

All it was left to do was add the pictures, followed by a simple title and sentiments from the PAF Iris set.    Just love how easy it was to create the background using the watercolor paper pad and new palette set.

For  my last project, i wanted to try the newWATERCOLOR ESSENTIAL 12 PAN SET  and the new WATERCOLOR PAPER SET in a no-line watercolor card.  So i used masking paper to create the cluster of flowers using the Fabulous Florets and  Limestone Ink;  then spent a few hours detailing each flower with the new watercolor set.  You can see a very condensed video of the process as follows:

Though the process of no-line watercolor is longer than usual watercolor detailing, it is relaxing and so satisfying.  The quality of the products makes it so much more pleasant to complete the task.

I hope these have inspired you to check the new PAF: IRIS Stamp set, and all the new WONDERFUL WATERCOLOR  release. They truly are a beautiful addition to the Altenew family of products.
