HOUSE CHIPBOARD MINI ALBUM - Doodlebug

I hope you have all been enjoying all the inspiration using the new Doodlebug Home Chipboard Album.  Well, I have a new idea for your albums and one of my favorite Doodlebug collections, Hello Again.

I wanted something that could house everyday memories in a cute way.  So, I decided to go for a simple design for the cover of the album.  I used Petite Prints and Hello Again as well as the templates included in the album package.

I decided to split the inside pages on an easy formula for photos and journaling. I am using simple pages for photos, with interactive pages with space for journaling and extra photos. I repeat this throughout the album.

In addition, I am opting for using a combination of simple Petite Prints with patterned papers from the Hello Again collection for each of the page stops.  This helped me to easily combine patterns, and embellish the page.

I love large photos, and each page of the album can easily accommodate a 5x7 photo per page.  So, I decided to pair the large photo with an interactive element.  Gotta love how easily the patterned papers combine in each Doodlebug collection.

As I moved through the album, I made sure to stay with one of the collection colors as the starting point for the page. It made it easier to keep the album and patterned papers coherent and fun without overwhelming the pages as it album progressed.

I hope this inspired you to take  a look at the new Doodlebug House Chipboard Albums. You are going to love personalizing them with your favorite collections.

XO!

The new Spark Joy: Black Hellebore Add On bundle  was the perfect way to add a story about me to my family journal.   I love the movement in this set, and it was so easy to color it.  I added a sentiment from the new  Build-A-Garden: Cheerful Coreopses to complete the spread.

This month's Dynamic Duo: Paradise Flowers  is beautiful, and a must in your stash.   I used the stencil for the background, then added the details for the flowers in the cluster with the stamp set ,then used the new Dynamic Duo: Paradise Flowers Add-on Die set to cut them out .  Once again, I reached for the Build-A-Garden: Cheerful Coreopses for the sentiment in this spread.

The new Mini Delight: Tea Rose Blossom might be one of my favorites from this release.  It was so easy to build each of the blooms for this pocket spread!

Pinkfresh Studio November 2023 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Embellishment Release

Hi there!

Welcome to PINKFRESH STUDIO NOVEMBER 2023 STAMP, DIE, STENCIL, AND EMBELLISHMENT RELEASE...  I am so happy you are here, and checking all the beautiful inspiration created with this month's release.  Let me show you what I have created with some of the new products:

I combined the new ORNATE RECTANGLE FRAME DIE, NOTHING BUT THE BEST STAMP SUITE, KAITLIN ALPHA DIE, and FARM FRESH STAMP SET along with pieces from Lovely Blooms and Garden Bouquet collections for this spage,

I started by heat embossing a few of the NOTHING BUT THE BEST stamp  with Snow white Embossing powder.  I used the coordinating NOTHING BUT THE BEST stencil and Crisp Dye Inks ( Ballet Slipper, Cherry Blossom, Peony, Begonia, Eucayptus,  Spanish Moss) to color all the images, before cutting them out with the NOTHING BUT THE BEST die.  I set the images on a small crescent formation on dark blush cardstock.

Using the new ORNATE RECTANGLE FRAME DIE, I cut a few of the small frames, and used them to encase my photos.   I set these in the inside of the crescent  of flowers.    I added just a few embellishments from the paper collections, before working on my title.  For this, I used the new  KAITLIN ALPHA DIE to cut the letters from white cardstock (shadow), and blush metallic cardstock for the letters.  I placed the title above the pictures with a few extra embellishments.

To finish my page, I chose to add a few stamped sentiments using the new FARM FRESH STAMP,  using ink colors in begonia, around the flowers.   A few Metallic Gold Pearls complete the page, and I love how it turned out!

I hope this inspires you to check all the new PINKFRESH STUDIO NOVEMBER RELEASE.   There is so much inspiration to checkout, and also a generous giveaway.

- Pinkfresh Studio will be giving away the full release on their blog and YouTube Channel, and

ADVENT CALENDAR - Doodlebug Design

Today,  I want to show you a little twist for your Advent Calendars.   Maybe is the fact that we have adult children, and that we live in an apartment, that pushed me to look at this project as a storage case that can live in my common area throughout the year... Let me show you what I have created:

As you can see I went with a design that can easily fit in any room of my apartment where we need storage for little items (my daughter is already thinking about a second one for her earrings and make up)

I used the 6x6 Dot/Stripe Petite Print pad and the12x12 Dot/Stripe papers to cut the covers for each box. My inspiration for the colors was one of my favorite collections of this year, HELLO AGAIN.  I also used the Butterfly Wishes Doodle cuts to create matching butterfly die cuts and attached them to the front of each box.

For the top of the calendar, I used patterned paper from the Hello Again collection to cover the top and the roof of the house.  I used a die to create the window and shutters and added that to the top of the house.  I added a bit of pom pom trim to the edge of the house to mark the roof of the house.  Then continued the butterfly theme to the top of the window and shutters..

Once it was all ready, I filled the little boxes with my Doodle pins and a few favorite little trinkets.  Like I said, it is the perfect place for some extra storage.

I hope this gives you a new idea for your Advent Calendars.  Remember to share with us what you create!

HALLOWEEN COSTUME - Doodlebug -

We are so close to celebrating Halloween once again!  I am sure that many of you are getting your costumes ready for the day, just like my cousin's doggie!   Though, we bought the costume here in Canada, it had to travel all the way to Ecuador.  As soon as I got the pictures of the fitting, I had this idea for  a new project featuring the beautiful SWEET & SPOOKY collection.

The starting point for this page was the Taffy Stripe paper.  I just saw the stripes as a fun way to create a banner for my page.

I cut 2 strips of 1.5in, then cut each color section out - the little pieces looked like small squares-.  I then, used a pair of scissors to round one of the edges. Using a thin chopstick, I curled the straight edge of each paper, then using liquid glue attached the rolled edge to Beetle Chunky Doodle Twine.  I alternated the a and b sides in the formation of the banner.

I glued the banners to the top lilac textured cardstock, making sure they draped from the top of the page.   This paper was then framed with Candy Sticks paper.

I used stickers and Doodle Pops to add a bit of interest to the banners that were of a solid color.   Once the banners were set on place, I added a few sprinkles for pops  of shine throughout the banner.

I cut a few pieces of paper to create side banners at the bottom of the page.  This was a perfect way to anchor my photos to the layout, plus provided space for my title work. and extra embellishments.   I just love combining stickers, Doodle Pops, and Chit Chat for this.

A few extra stickers and gems complete the page.   I hope this inspires you to get your Halloween memories documented with the SWEET & SPOOKY Collection

SPOOKY MEMORIES - Doodlebug Design

It is getting closer and closer to Halloween, which just gives us the perfect inspiration to get all those Spooky Memories documented with the beautiful Spooky & Sweet collection.   I just love the colors in this collection, and used that as inspiration for my page.

I started my page with a bit of mixed media.   I just pulled a few ink colors that matched the paper colors and blended them into the background, making sure each color stayed within a quadrant of the page.

I used a paper cup and some black ink to create the broken circles around the page.   To finish the background, I added splatters of the inks I used, and a few splatters of gold and black acrylic ink.

While the background dried, I pulled a few pieces of patterned paper that matched the colors of the background.   I decided to cut a few flags and placed them behind pictures, so they will lay on the page around the same area as the respective color of the background.

To continue with the color blocking design of the page, I then used embellishments that  matched.  Thankfully there are so many stickers, Bits and Pieces, Chit Chat, and Odds & Ends that it made it easy to find pieces for each little quadrant.

I decided to set my title in the purple quadrant of the page, since I found the perfect pieces of Chit Chat to create the title.    I made sure to add accents of black in each of the clusters, and the little bats were just perfect for this,   I pulled them from Sprinkles, Doodle pops, Puffy Stickers, and Sticker sheets.

I love how this turned out, and how perfectly the photos fit in here.   Remember to check the new Spooky & Sweet collection!

Pinkfresh Studio September 2023 Ink Release

Hi there!

Welcome to PINKFRESH STUDIO SEPTEMBER 2023 INK RELEASE Blog Hop.  Today, we are celebrating the new additions to the existing Pinkfresh Studio Ink family with lots of inspiration and prizes.

I am in love with the cool color palette in this new addition, and decided to use it for today's project:

For  my layout, I pulled the Thanks For Being There Suite to create the flowers for my page, and  Waterfall, Begonia, Sheer Freesia, Spanish Moss, Sage for my flowers.

To keep the cool color palette of the page, I used the Nested Arches Die  to cut patterned papers from Sunshine On My Mind and Lovely Blooms for the background of the page. Then arranged the photos atop of the "pill" shaped papers.

I used all the florals to create two large clusters to the left and right of the photos.  Then added a few extra embellishments from the same collections to bring more sentiments to the page.

To finish my page, I added a few Metallic Gold Pearls around the page.  For my title, I  pulled a foiled sentiment and added at the bottom of the pictures.   Lastly, I used the same color inks and Botanicals and Butterflies Cling Stamp suite to create a  few butterflies scattered throughout the page.

I love how this turned out!   And I hope it inspires you to take a closer look at the new Ink Color additions.

Of course we are celebrating the release with a fabulous giveaway:

  • Pinkfresh is giving away a set of the new full size ink pads on their blog, and
  • 2 $100 gift cards on their YouTube channel.
