Hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW OCTOBER 2019 STAMP/DIE/STENCIL RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY. You are arriving from Jennifer McGuire's blog ( a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post), and i hope inspired by her creations.
Today, Altenew is releasing a new set of stamps, dies and stencils and what can i say, they are outstanding, versatile and just gorgeous. Of course i had to dive in and work a few projects with them, so let's get started....
As soon as i saw the new Dot Botanical Stamp and Die Set the idea for this layout formed in my head. I quickly reached for the new Watercolor Brush Refills (rouge, paper bag, citron, moss, warm sunshine, crimson)and some mixed media paper to create the background for all the leaves.
Once the background dried, i used Altenew's Black Obsidian ink to stamp some of the images, and then used the coordinating die to cut them out, and also cut some of the leftover paper.
I used glue and foam adhesive to secure them to the page, and then added sentiments from the Dot Botanicals and Delicate Tiles stamp set to complete the title and subtitle of the page. A bit of Antique gold Ink spray splatters completes this layout. You can see how this came together in the following video:
With so many beautiful products to chose from in this release, it was so hard to say no to them, the next layout on my Family Album was created using the new Rose Blossom Stamp set...
My idea was to highlight the colors of my Goddaughter's skirt on the page, so i kept the background very neutral by stamping the small branches of the Rose Blossom Stamp set with inks from the Warm Gray set around the page.
I then created masks for the images, and used the Lapis Lazuli mini cube set to details the Rose Blossom stamp set on the page. I also stamped a full image and fussy cut it to use as part of the cluster of embellishments on the picture cluster.
I used the Delicate Tiles stamp set to add one of the sentiments as the title for this page, and then created a pocket behind the picture to house my lines of journal. Just love how this turned out, and kept on working on this format for my next project.
The new Delicate Tiles stamp set was another of my favorites from this release. I love the delicate details and linear application of the stamp. I always look at the trifold pamphlet of each stamp set, and this time the colors in the sample were a perfect match to the colors in my cousins' bathing suits so it made it so easy to build this page.
I used the Warm Sunset and Glacier Caves mini ink cubes to create the border column of tiles using the stamp set, then added the lines of journal, and title on the left of the page using the Delicate Tiles stamp set and Obsidian Black ink. Then used the right side of the layout to add my picture and embellishment clusters. You can see how this page came together in the following video:
Though I love using Altenew's products for memory keeping, this time i used a few of the new releases to create cards, let me show you...
I kept my cards simple this time around, for the first two cards, i used the Creative Edges: Lace die to create the paper lace strips of the cards. I glued the strips to the card so that they add texture and movement to the background.
The beautiful Grateful Heart Stamp and Die set and the Spring Bouquet mini cube set were used to create the floral image of this card. The image was attached with foam adhesive to the card followed by a sentiment from the Precious Peony stamp set .
Once again, i chose to use the Lace Die to create the front panel of this card, but chose to add color to the card base. Then used the Rosy Outlook Stamp, Die and Stencil along with the Rose Petal mini ink cube set to create the floral image for the card.
I opted for a sentiment from the Precious Peony stamp set for this card, and set it at the edge of the strips and opposite direction to the flower. Just love how these two cards are so similar yet so different.
And now onto the last project, I love the new Winter Wishes stamp set' sentiments are they are perfect for the upcoming Christmas project. For this card, i used the Wonderful Wreath stencil, Frayed Leaf and Evergreen to create the first layer of the wreath, then used a mix of the ink and glazes to create the second impression on the panel.
I used the Winter Wishes stamp set to gold embossed the card sentiment to the center of the wreath, and then finished the card using a few gems. Take a look at how the card came together in the next video:
I hope these have inspired you to check the new released products from Altenew. I am sure you are going to find a new favorite in the collection. But now it is time for the fun part of this hop... GIVEAWAY....
