Forever

Scrapbook layout created for Scrapbook Nerd  - FOREVER -

Hello,

I am almost done with my reveal week for Scrapbook Nerd, but not before creating a new layout using the beautiful Oh My Heart collection by Paige Evans.

We have had so much snow this year here in Toronto, that I am left with so beautiful pictures of my kids and family playing in the snow.   I could easily fill an album using winter collections, but I wanted to bring color to our lengthy winter.   So i picked this pink ombre paper from the 12x12 paper pad as the background.   The cut file's name is Winter lace from the Silhouette store, I simply created two cuts of the same shape, and backed them with vellum.

I layered the picture with pieces from the Take me Away, Oh My Heart and Heart Day collections. and made sure to attach it where the two cut files met in the middle.

I wanted a soft title, and went for a stitched title.  I simply traced the  Valentine's Day Titles cut file from Juliana Michaels on my cameo using a pencil.  A little bit of white metallic watercolor before stitching the edge.  Using the same paint, i added splatters all around the page, and my journal was added to the bottom of the page with white ink.  Here is the final layout:

I love the picture of my husband and i just hanging in the snow, and all the softness created around it,   You can check all the materials used at Scrapbook Nerd, trust me if you need something, you can contact the ladies, and they will find it for you. They are the best!!!

Let  me know if you have any questions on how this came together.

See you all tomorrow!

YOU - SN

Scrapbook Layout  created for Scrapbook Nerd -  YOU  -

Hello there!

I am half way my reveal week for Scrapbook Nerd, and since the weather has been not cooperating here, I have been creating my own Spring on my  scrapbook pages.  This time,  I chose to document a picture of my daughter, and how fast she is growing!

I fussy cut a few large flowers, leaves, and stems from this floral paper in the 12x12 paper pad  from the Oh My heart collection.  Using a paper piercer, I created a stitching guide in some of the flowers and leaves.

The background of this page was created using  a mixture of white, golden yellow, ochre yellow and gold liquid ink.   Using a palette knife, I simply dragged paint (only from a single side of the page) along the marked shape on the page.   The flowers were then attached to only one side of the page, using foam adhesive to add dimension.

I kept the rest of the layout simple, and just added a picture of my daughter, and a single cluster at one of the corners of the picture,  The title was created using a large word thicker from the Take Me Away collection.  A few journal  lines, and ink splatters complete the page.

Here is a small video on how this came together, enjoy!:

I  hope you got a glimpse at some of the work.   It took some time to stitch the flowers, but the texture was just glorious.  Don't forget to visit Scrapbook Nerd to check all the materials used in this page.  Remember to contact me with any questions about this.

Take care!

Trouble Cutie

Scrapbook Layout created for Clique Kit's pep rally  -  TROUBLE CUTIE  -

Hello there!

It is PEP RALLY day over at Clique Kits, it is our opportunity to show you all what the DT and subscribers have created with this month's beautiful "PLAY" kit.  This kit featured Shimelle's Little by Little collection's papers and embellishments which were perfect to document our littlest (my nephew).

I have had this pie cut file from Elle's Studio in my library for quite some time.  Since I wanted to use color, I picked the b side of the A to Z paper to cut the image.   I backed the some of the empty spaces with papers from the collection, and attached the cut out to a light mint color card stock, which was trimmed by about a half inch on each side, this was then attached to a white card stock frame, which was then attached to the a side negative part of the A to Z paper, all was secured with machine stitching.

This little cutie's picture was framed with embellishments from the collection, and some of the Clique Kits exclusives.

Using the embellishments from the kit, and lots of the exclusives, a small cluster was formed on the  upper corner of the cut out.   I used the tag to add my journal lines on the layout.

Recently, I purchased the AC thicker aligment guide, and was able to properly curl the title to fit into the cut out.   I used the foam thickers from the "PLAY" kit add ons, and the alphas from last month's kit,  After a few ink splatters, here is final layout:

I love how my cute nephew's picture is surrounded by color and beautiful embellishments. This is just one of the many ideas that the kit had provided this month.   You can check more of what the team has created by visiting the Clique Kits website.

AS always, leave me a message if you have any question on how this came together.

Take care!
