DOCUMENTING EVERYDAY - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
Today, i am sharing a few pages of my Everyday Family album using new products arriving at the Scrapbook Nerd shop. I had requested the new LIVE LIFE HAPPY from Pebbles, and Joy was able to get it all for me! I am a lover of combining Black and white with a rainbow, so i wanted this happy collection to help me document my day, especially since the theme of this week is RELAX.
I started with the basic paper pack from Echo Park's I Am Mom collection for the base of the page, then cut one of the Live Life Happy papers to create the large chevron that spans through the pages.
I added my pictures -after backing them with papers from the Pebles collection and added embellishments from the collection and also Pinkfresh Studio's My Favorite story and Rosie's Paper phrase embellishments ( A must for paper crafting!!!)
I used the chevron line to create my lines of journal using the alphas and stickers from the PFS My Favorite Story collection, and added my lines of journal to the inside of the chevron space.
Here is another layout created with the new Pebbles collection. This time, i chose the yellow paper as the base of my page ( I Am Mom Basic Paper pack) and decided to create a horizontal design this time around!
Who doesn't love a rainbow!!! i pretty much used papers and embellishments from the collection to create my design. The cute stickers are just awesome, and thought perfect for this pictures of the hubby relaxing!
I created a pocket from the 6x8 paper pad, and used some of the 2x2 cut aparts to add some interest to the pocket. I just added my lines of journal to a tag and completed the page by adding a simple title ( the white puffy stickers from the Pebbles collection are amazing) and viola!

LOVE YOU - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
We are in July already, and like much of the world, we are slowly starting to restart our new normal life here in Toronto, after almost 4 months in quarantine. Well, that has meant that birthday celebrations have move to a more virtual way. So, i pulled a few pictures from my little sister (23 rd ) birthday to create this layout for Scrapbook Nerd.
I started with a cut file from Handipaper ( my friend Inna has beautiful cut files in her shop), and used Pink Paislee's Bloom Street to back all the flower spaces. Once i had it ready, i tied a tag from Heidi Swapp's Honey and Spice collection at the bottom of the flowers ( this serves as a title).
For the base of the page, i cut a piece of paper from the Magical Forest paper pad ( Crate Paper) to serve as the base of the layout, and glued the cut file to it, then added one small butterfly sticker. For the other half of the page, i baked the pictures with a paper from Bloom Street and once i glued it to the background, added my journal below it.
I added a few more stickers to the page, and a second butterfly at the side of the pictures to complete the spread. Just love how it turned out.
Remember to stop by Scrapbook Nerd to check all the materials i used in this page, there are new goodies always arriving at the shop!

MOTHER'S DAY IN COVIND TIMES - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
This month the CT at Scrapbook Nerd has been creating projects inspired by Mom and mother figures. Since we are living chaotic times, i thought i focus my page on the good side of that day while staying at home.
I started by adding a bit of VIcki Boutin Metallic Acrylic paint to the background, and then used VIcki Boutin Metallic inks and a Carta Bella background stamp to add the details on the background, then added a bit of Molding paste through a Echo Park stencil and set it all to dry.
I pulled the Oh Happy Day collection from Carta Bella to create my page. First, I fussy cut the large floral that i am using on my page. I cut a few of the papers, and used them to create the layers behind the picture.
I used the tags and ephemera from the collection and a few more pieces from the Pinkfresh Studio - My Favorite Story Collection - to embellish my page. I used the vertical line of the paint application to add my lines of journal, so that they become part of the background,
I mixed stickers from Doodlebug design with old Pink Paislee alphas to create my title, then used a large stamp set from Citrus Twist Kits to add my date ( i wanted to make it part of the title)
I love how this turned out, it was so easy and fun to put together. The new Oh Happy collection is the perfect to bring happiness in this time!

FABULOUS YOU - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
This week, the DT at Scrapbook Nerd is working with stencils to create their projects. I chose to create my background by combining a few stencils, materials and textures in the background of my layout.
I started with a piece of Marshmallow cardstock from Bazzill. First i used a Vicki Boutin script stencil and diluted acrylic paint (Dina Wakely) to create the impression on the page. By applying the paint with a stencil brush, it is easy to control the richness of color and also create the ghost effect of the application.
Using Acrylic paint helps to prevent the impression from disappearing when adding the watercolor layer ( VB watercolor markers). Then to finish the background work, i added a bit of texture using VB Rose Gold glaze and a Kaisercraft stencil. This time, i run the glaze with a palette knife on the stencil, thus creating the bumpy texture on the background.
While the background completely dried, i used Heidi Swapp's Honey and Spice collection to build all the paper layers behind the picture. I tried to add the bulk of the papers towards the left of the picture, for this, i reached for a cut file from Just Nick studio to help me elongate the paper cluster to the left of the picture. I set all these on the top right side of the page.
When the background was created, i made sure to add a small section of mixed media to the side of the page, so that i could balance the layout. I used a few of the collection's embellishments to create a small cluster and then used Kaisercraft Stickers to construct my title as a link between the two corners of the page.
I love how this turned out, especially with the beautiful Boston Terrier image on the collection. The following video will show you how the page came together:

INSPIRE CREATE LOVE - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
It is my turn to share some inspiration for Scrapbook Nerd. I chose to create a cute and fast layout using a combination of Vicki Boutin and Simple Stories.
I started with one of the premade mixed media pages from VIcki Boutin's Color Kaleidoscope collection. First, i added two strips of papers from Simple Stories Hey Crafty Girl collection followed by a bit of white paint - this tones down the color of the background, and also helps to create a white canvas for the page-. Once the paint dried, i used a bit of Archival Ink to stamp the background using this Stampendous stamp set.
I backed the picture with one of the cut apart cards, and placed in the center of the page followed by the large scallop border to the left of the picture. There are so many cute embellishments in this collection, it is easy to create clusters around the picture.
Since the picture and strips are in a vertical line, i chose to add a line of embellishments on a horizontal line so that they intercept the picture in the middle. Starting with the title and continuing with a line of embellishments
All the crafty icons are the perfect size to create the large cluster at the bottom of the picture. All that was left to do was add my lines of journal and a few gold drops.
I hope you stop by the Scrapbook Nerd shop to check all the materials that i used in this page. There is always new products arriving at the shop.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

HELLO BEAUTIFUL - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there
I love paper, and usually Heidi Swapp collections are my favorite, so i asked my friends at Scrapbook Nerd if they could order the collection, and i love how they are able to accommodate your preorders. So i am using it today to share this page on their youtube channel.
I started with a cut file from Handipaper, and cut it three times from white cardstock -making one frame larger than the rest-. I used the papers in the collection to back the frames.
I backed the larger polaroid with a picture of my daughter, and used the specialty paper to back the frame picture spaces. Before setting on the background, i added a bit of white paint to haze the background.
The images are set on the background with foam adhesive. Since the frames are delicate, i wanted to keep the decorations to a minimum, and just added a few details around them.
I used the vellum foiled pieces to create the title, and then added a few stars around the page. The background was trimmed and then framed with a paper from the collection.
The final touch were a few sprinkles of white paint and copper color shine. I love how this turned out, and how easy it came together. You can see the entire process in the following video:
Don't forget to check Scrapbook Nerd for the materials used in this page, they are amazing at ordering your products. If you have questions on how this came together, please do not hesitate to contact me!

WINTER LOVE - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
It is so close to Christmas already and everything is festive around here. However, today my good friends over at ScrapbookNerd sent me a box filled with beautiful products. I had to use them, cause this new collection, Winter Joys from Studio Light is just gorgeous and i couldn't let it sit in my files.
I started this page by running Heidi Swapp Shimmer paste through a Kaiserkraft stencil onto a 12x12 paper from the collection. I covered the area where the title and picture where going to sit and set it aside to dry.
While the background dried, i used my Cameo to cut the this digital cut file -from Handipaper- from white cardstock, and backed each of the empty areas using the 6x6 paper packs.
I love cool colors, so this collection is probably one of those i will have to stash on my favorites. So i decided to cut extra flowers and greenery (using the same cut file) so that i could embellish the layout with these cut outs.
I placed the title and picture on a T design on the page, and added the extra die cuts in a zig zag formation across the title and picture, thus forming my visual triangle.
I used embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio - December Days collection-, Carta Bella - Snow Day collection- and the Winter Joys collection to build up the cluster then added small gold puffy stickers along the clusters. Here is the finished layout:
I love how this turned out ( i love this picture of my son and i a couple years ago) and how much i love this collection, make sure to check it out at the Scrapbook Nerd shop.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Have a Happy Holidays!

COZY & BRIGHT - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi there!
It is almost here! and i am yet to do my Christmas shopping!!! Instead, I have spent time putting some of my Christmas passed memories into pages for my albums. Today, i want to share this page all about my baby, and his love for the tree and blankets.
A few weeks ago, I purchased the Nuvo Shimmer Powders from Scrapbooknerd, and finally broke them out to use in this page. It is no secret I love mixed media, so this colors made the perfect background for the page.
I first added a bit of texture paste through a the Poinsettia Pattern stencil from Echo Park, and then used Cherry Bomb, Red Scarlett and the green powder to add the color on the page. I finished the background with a bit of gold ink.
while the background dried, i cut papers from both the Merry Little Christmas from Pebbles and Snowflake from Crate Paper to back the pictures of my baby. Then attached them to the background with some foam adhesive.
I kept the embellishments very simple, by creating a few clusters of stickers and embellishments from the collections ( plus some FALALA from Crate Paper) around the pictures and in a soft diagonal line on the page.
The last step was to add a title (alphas from Pink Paislee's Ivy collection) and then a few strips of papers on the sides of the page. I love how this turned out, and how quickly it came together. The colors of the powders are just to die for, too.
Remember to stop by Scrapbook Nerd to check all the materials i used in this page, and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

HOLIDAY TRADITIONS - Scrapbook Nerd
Hi! it is time for some inspiration for Scrapbook Nerd, and it is also time to pull all the festive goodies and document Christmas!!! Well, i am all about playing with paper and glue, but when it comes to Christmas, there is just a little extra incentive to get creative.
For this page, i mixed a few different things that i am loving lately. One is the papers in the This is Family collection from Pebbles, the colors and designs in the Merry Little Christmas also from Pebbles and circles.
I started by punching circles from the 6x6 paper pad from Pebbles and the 6x8 paper pad from Crate Paper's Snowflake collection. I punched a hole at the top of each circle so i can form a banner with the circles, and wrapped the cord around a piece of 8.5x11 cardstock.
Once the banner was set in place (foam adhesive and glue dots are holding the circles in place) i glued the letter size cardstock to a paper from the THis is Family collection, and then added the picture so it sits between the two pieces of paper.
i used embellishments from Pebbles, Simple Stories, Crate Paper to bring the Christmas sentiment to the page. Lots of pops of red, gold, green and teal bring the festive look to the page.
All that was left to do was add a title ( Crate Paper and Pinkfresh Studio alphas) and some lines of journal. The gold stamped elements were created with a stamp set from Citrus Twist Kits.
Just love how it turned out, and all the space i still have to write my lines of journal!!! I hope this inspire you to pull some of your favorite things and mixed them up on your next page, and make sure you check Scrapbook Nerd for all the materials (there are so many new collections and good ol' staples),
XO
