ALTENEW JUNE 2019 STAND-ALONE DIE RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hello there!

Welcome to the ALTENEW JUNE 2019  STAND-ALONE DIE RELEASE BLOG HOP+GIVEAWAY.   You are arriving from Virginia's Blog ( a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience) and hopefully inspired to see a few projects created with the new Altenew dies.   I am always floored with the designs that Altenew creates, but these are just beautiful, so let me show you what i created:

The new Dainty Blooms Cover Die is just amazing,   the intricate blossom designs gave me the idea to showcase it as the background for one of my Family Album (Citrus Twist Kits) layouts.  For this, i cut one of the Live Your Dream collection paper using the die - i had to play a bit with the die to have it cut the entire length of the page-.

Then used the Dainty Blooms cover die to cut a small piece of the same paper to line a pocket on the other side of the layout.   Here, i used the new Nesting Labels Die set to help create the title for the page.   The new label served as the background for the Fancy Hello Die Cut  and a stamped sentiment from  the Wonderland stamp set.  Gotta love the new Obsidian Pigment Black Ink pad, the images are so clearly and crisply stamped.   I added a few more of the Nesting Label Dies  with sentiments from the Ornate Foliage Stamp Set  as embellishments around the page, as well as some Altenew enamel dots.  The following video will show you how it all came together:

Just love how easy this came together, but since i am showing you my little album, then let me show you another entry created with the new Star Flower Pop-Up die:

I always think that i find a new Altenew favorite product, and then a new release comes in, and i find more to love.  The new Star Flower Pop-Up die is probably one that will let you create a one-of-a-kind design for any project.

I started with some K&Co paper strips -just cause i love the color of them- and played with the die to form two corners of the flowers for the layout.   Once i glued them in place, i just used a small palette to lift the petals of the Star Flower Pop-Up die cuts.

I placed the picture on one side of the layout, and a tag with all my journal on the opposite side of the page. A few stickers from the Live Your Dream collection embellish help decorate the page, and then just used the new Obsidian Pigment ink and the Fancy Greetings Stamp set to complete the page.

For this next project i combined the new Layered Star Die with the Nesting Label dies to create another entry in my Family Album all about my son.

Though the Layered Star Die creates a beautiful nested star shape, i wanted to use the different sizes to create a cascade of stars in the background.    First i covered the center of the page with the Gold String washi tape, and then cut the stars out of papers from the Blushing Blooms paper pad.   The Nesting Label die set was then used to create the labels that frame the title and journal of the page.  Here i added the stars, while the negative part of the cut out were used on the other side of the page.  The following video will show you how it all came together:

All the dies released today were so easy to combine in my scrapbooking projects, but i think i have to show  how nicely they can be used in cardmaking...

For this card, the new Delicate Mandala Die was used to create the lacy background of the card out of white cardstock.   This was glued to a card base so that most of it sit within the front of the card.

Using the Wallpaper Art Stamp and Die set, i created the gold-embossed images (the watercolor was added after the flowers were diecut) which were added to the card with a bit of foam adhesive.  For the card sentiment, the Dare to Dream stamp set was used along with the new Enchanted Gold Pigment ink pad.    Love the color combination and the overall softness of the card.

Now let me show you the last project of this post...

The new Color Wheel Dies was the centerpiece for this page.   The idea of using the so familiar shape to  bring a rainbow to the page  was the inspiration for the layout.

Once the Color Wheels were die cut, some of the empty spaces were backed with papers from the Reflections scrapbooking collection.    These were then glued together to create the background of the page, but before securing them to the layout, i added a bit of watercolor rainbow splatters to the background.   A few embellishments was all that was needed to finish the page.  Here is a video that showcases how this page came together:
