Love Noted - Clique Kits Guest Designer spot

Scrapbook Layout created for Clique Kits (Guest Designer Spot)   - Love Noted -

Hello everyone!

I am so excited, grateful, honored, but above all blessed to have been invited as a Guest Designer for July over at Clique Kits.  I received the beautiful RASKOG kit (filled with Pinkfresh Studio's Life Noted collection goodies, their exclusive cut-outs, cards and sequin mix) a few days ago, and was strucked with inspiration and lots of ideas just by looking at the color palette on the papers.

The yellow Bazzil plastic paper was the perfect medium to cut the large word  for the centerpiece of the layout.   The cutfile used  (Every Day Essentials) comes from The Cut Shoppe.  I manipulated the cut file so that the "O" had a large empty space where I could place my picture.  The plastic paper was cut, and then an  internal offset to the shape was created, so that the papers  will cover the plastic paper edges, just showing the small details of the cut file.  I cut two pieces of paper (the back piece is simple paper) with the same measurements, glued the yellow cut-out in between the papers.  Here is small video on how the layout came together:

For the picture, I used the 'O' space to cut a smaller frame from both the papers, and glued it a copy of the picture to each  of the frames.  The idea of having the picture floating inside the 'o' was easy to construct by looping a piece of fine crochet yarn in between the two pictures, before gluing them  together.   I made sure that the looped yarn was long enough to come out of the top of the layout (this way i could hang it), and also be secured at the bottom in between the paper mats.

To secure the papers together, a sewing machine was used around all the cut edges of the layout.   I added a few extra pieces to complete the title, "Love Noted", along with some of the sequin mix from Spiegel Mom Scrap Shop exclusive for the kit...

I love creating little clusters around the page, so I placed a small cluster of Clique Kits exclusive cut apart pieces  along with some rubber and wood shapes,  Here I added my journal entry and the date of the picture.

At the end, I added a few more details  and continued to place it on a cork-backed frame.  I used a small tack to hang the layout from the loop created at the top of the layout.  Here is a look at the finished project -before being displayed-.

I really hope you like this page, and serves you as inspiration to  create a display for your home...
Once again,  I am thankful to Clique Kits for the opportunity

Till next time,

Happy Craftin'!
