Autumn Fun

Scrapbook Layout created for Creative Scrapbooker Magazine  - AUTUMN FUN  -

Hello there!
Nathalie with you today with a new project that celebrates Fall and  it is glorious colors.  It is not secret Autumn happens to be my most favorite season, it is the cozy feeling, the clean cool air, the beautiful nature, and of course the phenomenal colors.  So, I combine a few of my favorite Fall feels with some Vicki Boutin for American Crafts products in this new page.

Fall Sunsets are some of the most beautiful, so I borrow the colors to create the background for this page.   Well when we think Fall, we think leaves, so I used one of Vicki’s new stamp and die sets (Shine) to create the embossed leaves in the background, and then used her Watercolor set to recreate the sunset on the background.

While the background dried, a few more leaves were stamped and color using the same tones of the watercolors used in the background.   At the same time, the title was created from a Silhouette cut file.   A bit of watercolor was added -so that it matches the tone of its placement on the background-, and then handstitched.

The picture of my daughter and littles (my niece and nephew) was backed with papers from the new Vicki Boutin Field Notes collection.  Once the title and picture were set on the page, I used all the leaves to create clusters around the page, and then added small embellishments from the new Field Notes collection to complete the clusters.

To complete the title, the word “FUN” was created using the  All The Good Things collection alphas and some of the stamped leaves.  The entire page was then matted on the Collect and Document paper, followed by a few lines of journal, and some touches of gold glaze

I hope that you are all ready for the new season, and to check Vicki’s new Field  Notes collection!  As for me, I will be on a long walk through the forest drinking some PSL.
XO
Nathalie

Autumn Mini

Mini Album created for Maya Road  -  WE -

Hello there!

Hope you all are doing well, and are getting ready for the upcoming season!!

Autumn is my favorite season, I love the cozy feeling, colors, smells, and textures it brings.  I was lucky to be asked to collaborate to a new Maya Road release, "GOLDEN DAYS".   This Card kit serves dual purpose as it can easily be adapted into a mini album.

If you are a Fall lover, then this it was made for you, too.  It features Fancy Pants Designs' Golden Days collection, a selection of  Maya Road products, a exclusive stamp set, and a pair of flair buttons.  The kit is just gorgeous, and perfect to document a few highlights of the Fall season.  Here is a quick walk through what i created with this kit:

I hope that you enjoy the mini album.  Feel free to visit Maya Road to check what else can be created with this kit.  A step by step tutorial on how to recreate this album can also be found in the Maya Road blog.   So stop by their blog to check all the details.

As always let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care!

Hello Fall

Scrapbook Layout created for The Cut Shoppe   - HELLO FALL -

Hello there!

Today, I am on the Cut Shoppe's blog with this layout that highlights my love for AUTUMN.   When Ashley shared with us the upcoming cut-files, i knew that the "Leaf Pile" background was going to be a great background.

To start, i altered the 8.5x11in cut file a bit - so that it fit into a 12x12 mat -, and deleted the details in every other leaf, as I wanted to add stitching instead. I cut the file on cream card-stock, and used watercolors and mists to try and recreate the colors of the leaves.

I used vellum to back the leaves the leaves's cutout, and a  multicolor  embroidery floss to stitch the design inside the leaves.  I love the contrast and softness on the page.   The entire background was then adhered to a Simple Stories Wood grain paper using adhesive foam ( i love the dimension on the page).

For the title,  pulled some toner paper, and used my MInc machine to foil it rose-gold. I used the Oakley Ave.  cut file to create the title for  the page, making sure that the letters showed the ombre color effect (just like the leaves).

I kept the details on the picture rather simple (this was the first leaf i found in the fall).  I pulled as many ephemera pieces i could find from my stash, and most come from Simple Stories' Life in Color collection.  Here is the final layout:

Not that i am biased, but i love this layout.  I love that it combines my style to a tee;  it combines cut files, there is watercolor, stitching, vellum, foil, and simple details on picture.  I hope you like it, too. Don't forget to visit the Cut Shoppe's Etsy store to pick these and the many more new cut files that are always added to the store.

Thanks for visiting today.

See you all soon!
