DECEMBER CHALLENGE - Pinkfresh Studio

Hi there!

It is time to get into the Holiday spirit with this month's new PINKFRESH STUDIO Challenge.   And we are using the colors in the new Oh What Fun Collection as the inspiration for this!

One of my obsessions is finding coffee mugs with Christmas Boston Terriers; so this layout is all about my 2019 find!

I started by adding white paint to a hand drawn circle in the center of the Holiday Walk paper.  Once it dried, I used the same circle template to  handstitch two circles around the paint application.

I used the Tea Cup cut file ( from Pinkfresh Studio's shop) to cut the cup three times from white cardstock, and then used the papers from the collection to back the images.    A bit of foam adhesive was all I needed to prop them on the right of the circle. I nestled my picture between the cups and started to embellish the layout with all the stickers, ephemera and enamel dots from the collection.

I used the curvature of the circle to add my title and capped it off with a cluster of embellishments.  Here, I added a few drops of gold ink to add shine to the page!

Love how this turned out!  Remember to check Pinkfresh Studio's blog to enter the challenge and have a chance to win $50  gift Certificate to the shop!

XO,
Nathalie

Merry Memories

Scrapbook Layout created for Simple Stories  - MERRY MEMORIES -

Hello everyone!

Where has December gone!  It is hard to believe we just celebrated Christmas, and what better way to document those memories than to use the super fun and gorgeous "Oh What Fun" collection.

This picture of my littles was fun and playful (even when it is a bit blurry!), so I wanted to create a soft background for the page, and pulled a cut file from Just Nick Studio.   All those small holly berries and branches bring some texture to the page.

To bring playfulness to the page, I chose to create a colorful and large title, for this I pulled the Merry Wishes cut file from Just Nick Studio and used all the papers from the Oh What Fun collection to back the letters.  Then cut the script word from one of the papers from the collection.

All the fun elements from the "Oh What Fun" collection are so gorgeous ( i think I am left with small pieces from the collection!) that i had to use them to highlight the picture.   Gotta love that reindeer, just like my little nephew in his antler hat.

What is not to love of the "Oh What Fun" collection!!  the designs, the colors are just perfect to document  your most beloved memories.

Well now it is only fitting, I wish you all a Blessed New Year!

Christmas Joy

Scrapbook Layout created for Scrapbook Nerd  - Christmas Joy -

Hi there!

It is the first of the month, which means it is time for a new free cut file at Scrapbook Nerd.  This time, i got to design the cut file, "Winter Joy", and i was inspired by the upcoming Holiday season.    The cut file comes with the background as seen on the page, and individual shapes so you can create your own project.

I started by cutting the background out of white cardstock, and used foam adhesive to attach it to the background - a paper from the Winter wonderland collection from Simple Stories-.

To bring the festive colors of the season, I used the "Oh What Fun" collection and embellishments from My Mind's Eye.

I added small clusters of embellishments from the collection to frame the picture, and then to decorate the page.  Here is the final layout:

I just love the soft snowflakes as a background for the picture of my niece.   I hope this serves as inspiration for your holiday crafts.   Remember to stop by Scrapbook Nerd store to pick up your free copy of the cut file - just click here to be redirected to the store-.

Take care guys, see you all soon!!!

Very Merry

Scrapbook layout created for Simple Stories  - VERY MERRY -

Nathalie with you today.  It is starting to look at lot like Christmas, and what better way that prepare for the upcoming season, that to document last year's memories with the beautiful and super fun "OH WHAT FUN".

For this page, I wanted to take advantage of the colors in the papers of the collection, and what better way to display them than  to create a wreath to display a photo of my littles -niece and nephew-.

Using a die from Maya Road, I created a lot of stars that were arranged in a circle to create the wreath.

There are so many beautiful designs in the papers and cut apart cards from the  Oh What Fun collection that can easily be fussy cut to be used as clusters around the layout.
This layout's title was created using one of the 4x4 card from the cut apart elements page.

Here are just a few more close ups of all the details around the picture.   The poinsetta images are one of my favorite designs in this collection, and the perfect flower to give this layout that soft and Chrsitmasy look.

The "Oh What Fun" collection is by far one of the most beautiful and FUN collections for the upcoming Christmas season, and a must to document all those special moments.

Remember I am always a comment away if you have questions on how this came together.

See you all soon!
