My Gratitude Journal 2018

Hi there!

As the year starts to wind down, we all are starting to -in a way or other- gather memories of what, who, when, where of our lives.  For me that means starting my Gratitude Journal as we celebrated Thanksgivings here in Canada on October 8th.   This means for the next 30 days i will be adding a new entry a day in my TN.  This year I will use a combination of prompts from Feed Your Craft and the ones I had created for my BPC class, and depending on the day, I might just have to create a new prompt.    Here i a quick overview of the first week of my journal:

Cover:

The cover was created using Feed Your Craft's  Giving Thanks  and Autumn Vibes stamp sets, The Minty Octopus's  Norwegian Wood digital collection and distress inks.

Day 1:  Thankful to GOD

Created using Citrus Twist Kits October Grace box and free cut apart sheet, as well as some Vicki Boutin Art Crayons

Day2:  Thankful for ME

This was created using past Citrus Twist Kits (Grace Box and Scrapbook kits) and the Giving Thanks stamps set from Feed Your Craft.

Day 3: Thankful for PARTNER (my husband)

I used pieces from the September Citrus Twist Kits PL kit  and stamps from Feed Your Craft (Ariel Alphabet and Giving Thanks)

Day 4:  Thankful for my FAMILY

I like to keep pieces from past kits or collections in a small container for this project,  SO a lot of the embellishments come from past Citrus Twist Kits collections, and the papers from the October 2018 PL kit.

Day 5:  Thankful for my KIDS

I pulled some digital journal cards for this page, it comes from In A Creative Bubble Autumn 3x8 card pack, and some free digital elements from Citrus Twist kits.  The stamp set is from Citrus Twist Kits -September 2018 TN stamp-

Day 6: Thankful for a SPECIAL PERSON (my mom)

I used some of the October and September Scrapbook kits from Citrus twist Kits to create this page, as well as the free element printable sheet.

Day 7:  Thankful for HOME

This page was created using the September and August Citrus Twist Kits scrapbook and add on kits, and Studio Calico stamps.

Day 8:  Thankful for REAL LIFE

This page was created using the October PL and Scrapbook Kit from Citrus Twist Kits, and a past add on stamp also from CTK.

I will  be back next week with to show you how the journal is taking shape.

Take care!

My Personal Journal - Week 20

Hi There!

we are gearing towards the middle of the year! Amazing how fast time is passing by.  I have continued capturing my every day -it is a habit, now- and using the pictures to create my visual journal for 2018.  Well, with that being said, here are the entries for the past week on my Traveler's Notebook:

A couple weeks ago, I found TN inserts at Michaels, and decided to give this grid insert a try.  Though my choice is always white pages,  I gotta say that i am loving having the grid to help achieve the straight lines when gluing things to my TN.

This week, I chose to use some of my PL and scrapbook kits from Citrus Twist Kits to create some of the entries.  Having the option of using the digitals to create some hybrid pages speeds the documenting process a bit.

That is  all the entries to my personal journal for the past week,  I really hope you are also documenting your days!

 See you soon!

My Personal Journal - Week 13

Hello everyone!

Anothere week has passed by,  and just like i told one of my friends, the Easter Bunny dropped a cold and not chocolate eggs by my place.  It has been a rough week with me battling  a cold (this one sent me to bed!)  But after a few rounds of meds, i am slowly coming  back.

Just on time for the weekend, my CTK April kits arrive, so I have been putting a dent into all my PL kits, and now CTK has launched a new websiter that also provides digital files, which make my little soul sing.  But let me show you what i have worked for this week's entries:

I am loving having the option of the digitals, it helps with my style of documenting as it saves some of the bulk of patterned paper.  Plus the entire DT received the awesome alpha stamp set, and i had to used it for this page...

Most of the entrie this week were worked with the April kit with an exemption of a few pages and embellishments.   Plus if you have seen my work then you know i am a vellum fan, and this month's kit has vellum in it, so i am just adding it in all the ways i can!

Well that is it for me today,

I am off to bed to rest for a bit, this cold has zapped all my energy.

remember to document your days!!!

My Personal Journal - week 9

Hi there!

It is March, and hopefully the weather will start to change soon.  Winter has been way too cold and long for us here in Canada!  But even documenting the bad weather is a good way to tell your story.

I am so happy to still be keeping my visual journal.  I have started my 4 TN with March, and still want to combine picture and words to reflect on each day's happenings.  Here are week 9 entries:

I am using a combination of Citrus Twist Kits and stamps along with my beloved Simple Stories goodies to create the first three entries of the week.   The empty page is actually worked out, but i cannot share yet what happened on the day... soon!!!

I think I love having hidden journal spots here and there, but creating this little envelope is one of my fave ways to add my journal!   Once again all the papers stamps and embellishments come from different CTK kits.

The beauty of this format, is that i can easily add lots of journal in one spot.  The last page of the week is all about my grandmother who would have turned 89 on March 4th, unfortunately she is no longer here, but i had to put it in paper how much she is loved and will always be.

I hope you are also taking the time to capture and document your every day!  Trust me, it is a good habit to keep up, especially when you want to tell your story in your own way.

That is all for me!

See you all next week

My Personal Journal - Week 8

Hi there!

We are almost at the end of February!!!  Time is flying!   Are you still capturing and documenting all those little moments?   It can be difficult to make time for this, but trust me is so rewarding at the end of the day to put it down in paper.    Here are my entries for the past week:

Maybe i might be a bit biased, but the PL kits and stamps from Citrus Twist Kits are perfect for my type of documenting.     So this week, most entries are worked with PL kits from November - February.

This entry created mostly with Vicki Boutin's All The Good Things collection and mediums .  After meeting her, and spending my weekend with her, all i can think was rainbows and happy!

I hope you all take the time to capture your everyday.  It is all worth it!!!

See you next week!!!
