Hi there!
Welcome to ALTENEW WILDFLOWER PAPER CRAFTING COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY. You are arriving from Altenew's Card blog. A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.
I am so excited for a new paper crafting collection, as scrapbooking and memory keeping are my favorite thing! The designs, and the awesome color combo in the new WILDFLOWER collection are so versatile, and of course there are florals!! So, I pulled a few of my favorite things in one page...
My starting point was the Pathway paper... the waves in design just needed to be on my page... So, I carefully used a paper piercing tool, and created a stitching guide in some of the waves, trimmed a good strip of it, and then spent a few hours hand stitching the design.
I wanted the colors of the flowers and to show nicely, so I chose a white cardstock for the background. A bit of Mixed Media ink -in Frayed Leaf- adds a soft background for the picture. In addition, I added a bit more interest to the color application by adding the impression from the Floral Mandala stencil.
I fussy cut florals from the 6x6 paper pad, and also used some of the papers to back the pictures - the simple frames, makes them pop from the background. I mixed a few pieces of ephemera to the clusters just so that they frame the photos nicely.
For the title of the page, decided to play with size. I used the bold alphabet die set and the 6x6 paper pad to create the word book, then matched it with the diecut piece. I capped the page with a few more of fussy cut florals. Then added a few drops of Antique Gold metallic Ink.
I love how this turned out, and cannot wait to continue creating with the new Wildflower collection!!! A truly beautiful mix of color and design.
Of course we are celebrating the release with a GIVEAWAY...
$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 05/05/2021 for a chance to win.
