Hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: TRIUMPH TULIP Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You are arriving from Ashlea's blog ( a complete list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post).
Today Altenew is releasing their new BAF: THRIUMP TULIP, and i could not be more excited about this flower, as it is a favorite of my sisters, and super easy to create with the stamp set. As always I had to put it to use on a new layout, and just love the results.
Each stamp from Altenew comes with a trifold pamphlet that provides inspiration. I loved the colors of the flowers here, so i decided to combine the Lapis Lazuli, Green Fields, and Sugar Plums Ink sets to create the flowers for this page.
I chose to stamp a few of the flowers using all the BAF steps, but also stamped a few without the solid image background. This creates a softer look for the page, and creates a more defined flower.
Once i had all the flowers ready, creating the layout was easy. I started with a paper from the Our Family Scrapbook collection for the background, and layered white cardstock for the base. I decided to create two clusters of flowers coming into the page at different angles, and used the Artist Markers (set D) to hand draw the stems instead of stamping them. A bit of foam adhesive helps adding dimension to the page.
Just a few details left were adding the title using the Across the Pond stamp set and a few sentiments from the Tabbed stamp set. The following video will show you how it all came together:
I cannot rave enough about this beautiful stamp set, and i hope you are inspired to check the release.
