Hello everyone!
Nathalie with you today with a few ideas on how to use the color tones of your Life Crafted Fierce and Fabulous kit. I am sure kits are arriving at your doorsteps, and you are looking for ideas on what to create with the beautiful goodies, well consider color families for your next layout.
One of my favorite things about the kits is the rainbow of possibilities, but i felt like focusing on a single family of colors for each of these pages, let me show you:
WARM TONES
The starting point for this page was the Life Crafted PL card (in the top pocket). One of my goals this year is to #existinphotos, which means getting pictures of me documented ( not a fan of this!). The sentiment of the card was perfect for the layout, and since the picture is pretty neutral, i decided use the warm tones of the card to complete the page.
I used one of the Bonus 3x4 PL Cards to add my lines of journal, and then added the date with the Typewriter Month & Number stamp ( this bring some of the black of the picture on to this side of the layout)
To add to the sentiment and feel of the story, i used the This is Life: Fierce stamp set and Tattered Rose Distress oxides to create the frames out of the warm tone patterned papers of the kit. I fussy cut them out and layered them on the book print paper from the kit.
I added a few embellishments from the Life Crafted kit and added also pieces from the cut apart sheet that matched the colors of the frames. To finish the page, i added pops of black to the layout -puffy stickers, labels and stamped images-. Love how this turned out, but now let me show you a new idea using another color family.
COOL TONES
I started with two of the patterned papers that had mint/green tones in them. I cut striped one to fit the width of the page, and then used the left over strip at the edge of the other half of the page.
I started with the title for this page this time -though the ephemera has a bit of pink in it- as it has gold glitter on it, so i wanted to make that detail that repeats through the page. I used the Digital PL Cards to add my lines of journal on the computer and printed so that it fit at almost 5" in height.
I glued this to the inside of the striped paper strip, and layered ephemera and labels to complete the title at the bottom of the page. I chose to bring a small cluster of ephemera to the top corner of the page. I used one of the fabric pieces and then fussy cut the stamped you sentiment -created using the This is Life: Fierce stamp).
I backed the picture with a piece of gold glitter polka dot piece of acetate -from my stash- and then layered pieces from the cut apart elements and ephemera to create the clusters around the picture. I repeated the gold pops and circular stamped elements to tie the two sides of the layout together.
I really love how this turned out! and it all was possible using only the Life Crafted kit, stamps and a few of the digital files. Hopefully, this inspires you to take a chance with a color tone layout for your Life Crafted album. Remember to share with us what you create, i would love to see how you use this concept.
XO
