Hello there!
Welcome to the Altenew September 2019 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. I am so happy to be joining in the hop with a few projects created with this amazing release, I am sure you are going to love it.
Your previous stop was Mindy's blog (a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post), but you can always start the loop here or go back to the Altenew card blog to start the hop. But let me show you what i have created for this fun hop:
This month's release contains a few stamps and dies that will get you ready for the holidays. I used the new Festive Foliage stamp set to create this clean and simple Holiday card. I used Mountain Mist and Volcano Lake inks to stamp half of the Christmas Tree at the right and left edges of the card.
Once the ink dried, i embossed the entire Festive Foliage image with pink glitter (WOW! embossing powder) on the center of the page. The sentiment from the stamp set was added below the trees, and then i drew the frame with a black liner around the card. I might be repeating this for some of my cards this year!! ;)
For my next card, i combine the new Modern Poinsettia and Believe stamp sets. I started by creating a mask of the poinsettia, and then used it to stamp a few continuous images along the left and bottom edge of the card with grey pigment ink.
I used the Obsidian Black pigment ink to stamped a poinsettia at the bottom of the page, and then detailed the flower using the Altenew Watercolor pan set. A few splatters of gold ink followed by the Believe stamp set sentiment complete this card. Though detailing the flower took time, i love how this turned out!'
I love background statmps, and the new Faceted Stars stamp set is just perfection. To bring the graphic element of the stamp forward, i chose to embossed the page using Altenew embossing ink and white embossing powder; used a few of the mini cubes to create a soft background
To embellish the page, i added fussy cut images from one of the papers from the Live Your Dream collection and clustered around the page. The title was then added to the layout by stamping the sentiment on a chipboard heart. The following video will show you how the page came together.
For this page, i used the Gilded Ombre Washi tape to create the screens in each side of the page using the Circle quilt cover die. I placed my picture on top of one of the screens and added a few florals from the Floral Flurries washi tape.
To create the title for this page, I used the Tall Alpha die set to cut the words from metallic purple paper. These were placed on one of the Nesting Labels, and then set on top of the screen, I just added the label to the screen and then added a few more floral images. The color and ease with which this came together made it a design that i will repeat in my album.
Now onto my last project of the day
I combined the Flower Garden stamp set with the Layered Snowflake Stars Cover Die A & B in this page all about my daughter. I wanted the delicate lines of the dies to frame the picture of my baby, so i created a strip of continuous die cuts from both dies and layered them on the page.
I was inspired by one of the layering guide images to create the splatters on the FLower Garden images. These were clustered around the picture and title of the page. The following video will show you how i put this together:
I love this release, as i can see myself using most of the new goodies in my future projects, starting with my Christmas cards. I am sure you will love it, too.
