Scrapbook Layout created for Scrapbook Nerd - #SOFA LIFE -
It is time for some inspiration for Scrapbook Nerd. This week, I chose Pinkfresh Studio's "The Case of the Blahs" to document a rather normal picture of what i see every weekend in my home.
I went for a pretty simple design, as i wanted to take advantage of the embellishments in this collection to help me tell the story.
I cut a few strips of some of the collections 12x12 papers, and stitched them to the page. i wanted to keep the bulk of the page on one side, so i made one of the strips wider. To pop all the embellishments, I chose to add a bit of Vicki Boutin art crayon to the background using a stencil brush.
The collection stamp was then used to add a few sentiments and images to the colorbackground. Here is where i matted the picture with one of the collection's chipboard frames, and then just worked on creating this large cluster on the page.
To balance the page, i added a bit of color to the top right corner of the page, and used a piece of a chipboard frame to create a small cluster where the title could be placed.
Finally, just added a few lines of journal at the bottom of the page (below the title) and brought a few extra details to complete the page. Here is the completed page:
I love how this page turned out, and how it brings an ordinary picture to live in a funny creative way!. Remember to stop by Scrapbook Nerd to check all the materials used in this page.
As always, let me know if you have questions on how this came together.
