BEAUTIFUL LOVE - Simple Stories
Hi friends! Nathalie here today with a new layout that celebrates Mom's Love, and what better way to document it than with the new Simple Stories "MOM'S DAY" collection.
The colors and florals in the Mom's Day collection were the inspiration for this layout all about the relationship my sister and nephew are building. For this I pulled a cut file from Handipaper to create the large title of the layout.
I used the papers (including the cut apart elements) to back the empty spaces of the cut out, and then decided to glue the title in the center of the background - Sn@p Basics Birch/ White Grid paper- with a bit of foam adhesive.
Before gluing the pictures down, I fussy cut lots of florals from the elements paper, and the My Mum paper; in addition, i also cut out the banners from the elements to use in the cluster and as part of the title. I trimmed the edges of the background, and added strips of the Mom's Day collection to its sides.
The pictures were then glued on opposite sides of the title so that they form a vertical line on the page, and added the fussy cut florals and embellishments from the Mom's Day collection to just frame the pictures. A few lines of journal and some pink gems complete the page.
The new Mom's Day collection is simply perfect to document all your Mom special moments and the upcoming Mother's Day celebrations. Hope you all have a blessed Mother's Day!

ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: SNAPDRAGON STAMP AND DIE RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY
Hi there!
Welcome to the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Release Blog Hop and Giveaway. You must be arriving from Ashlea's blog.
It is always an exciting day when Altenew asks you to be part of their release party, and this time the new BAF: Snapdragon is one that you will want in your collection, as Altenew has designed it to be easy to layer and with a very realistic finished look. Let me show you what i mean,
The tall blooming flowers in the BAF Snapdragon set have been designed to work as a pair or their own when used in a project. For this card, i stamped both the BAF designs using the Shades of Purple Mini Ink Cubes.
To assemble the card, i cut a piece of the new Blushing Blooms paper pad and then layered a piece of vellum with the stamped sentiment and then used some foam adhesive to attached the flowers to the card. Love the simplicity of the car, and the color combination brings the detail in the blooms.
For the next card, chose to create a card that uses a more subtle color combination. This time, I created the background using the Square Weave Stencil and some Rose Gold paste from Vicki Boutin. I stamped the BAF Snapdragon image using Altenew Gray inks so that it would stand out from the background.
To assemble the card, i chose to use foam adhesive to prop the image, and then used the Wispy Begonia stamp set to add the sentiment to the card. Love the color contrast and how the single bloom completes this card.
Like i mentioned, i love the movement and versatility of the stamp and used it to create a layout for my Family album (Citrus Twist Kits' Life Crafted Album).
This time, i chose to create a background for my page, using just some of the images from the BAF: Snapdragon stamp set. Firstly, I created a mask so that i could continuously stamped the shadowed background using Altenew inks.
I did not want to overpower or hide the background with extra embellishments and decor, so i simply created a few blooms using the Rose petal mini ink cube, and used them to embellish the picture. The title also comes from the BAF: Snapdragon stamp set. I have created a video that shows you how this page came together:
Love how these projects came together rather easily using the new BAF: SNAPDRAGON Stamp and Die set. I hope you are inspired to check it in the Altenew shop, and take advantage of their

NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY 2019 - TECHNIQUE TUESDAY
Hi there! and welcome to the National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop with Technique Tuesday. I am so glad you are here and also excited to be one of the guest designers for the next month. So, let's get started...
I received the Dreamy Dragonfly Stamp set and Dragonfly Crafting Dies to work on this project. It all started with creating the dragonfly images using the stamp set and Distress Oxides. My choice was to stamp both images in the same color ink, so that i can die cut them both and layer them together.
Love how the layered look of the dragonflies bring movement and dimension to the page, therefore i used just a few around the page.
I also received the Essential Stitched Label dies, and used them to create a pocket for my lines of journal, and also a label for the title, and the picture. The sentiments in the Dreamy Dragonfly Stamp set were perfect for this page,
This page was such a joy to put together, and the following video will show a more in-depth look on how it all came together:
