HAPPY TOGETHER - Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge

I am so happy to have been invited back for a new term with Pinkfresh Studio -it was a check on my crafty bucket list, and i am so blessed to make it a double one-.   To start the year, we are reviewing the past years challenges and welcoming all to play along with us.

For my page, i chose the September 2019 challenge -Mixed Media and Watercolors- for my layout.    The color palette of the challenge was taken from the Just A Little Lovely collection, and it was perfect for what i had in mind.

I started with a gesso piece of double cardstock to which i added splashes of Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolor to match the colors in the Just A Little Lovely collection ( Purple, pink/coral,and light blue). 

While the background dried, i heat embossed -white embossing powder- a few images created using the  Floral Cluster Stamp set.  Once cut with the coordinating die, i used the liquid watercolors to detail each of the flowers in the image using colors that match the  paper collection.

I backed the picture of my family with a paper from the Office Hours collection so that it matched the soft coral tone of the collection.  I used the Rainbow with Splatters Washi Tape to create watercolor alike panels on cardstock, and used the Essentials: Lacey Edgers die set to cut a few of the panels into detailed strips. These were pieced together to repeat the colors of the background and then layered under the picture in two rows.

To build the layout, i added the watercolor images to the side of the picture and bulked up the clusters using fussy cut flowers -Just  A Little Lovely collection papers- and some acetate die cuts.  Just a few extra embellishments were added to each of the clusters.  All that was left was to add a title -created with  a combination of Alphas from the Just a Little Lovely and Home for the Holidays collection- .  I added a small cluster right under the title to help balance the page.

I love how this page turned out!  All the Pinkfresh Studio stamps, papers, dies, washi tape and liquid watercolor are designed to coordinate together, so the design came together so easily and with lovely results.

READER FOR LIFE - Pinkfresh Studio

It is time for a new challenge for Pinkfresh Studio, and this month is all about circles and the colors in the beautiful Office Hours collection.

I love the collection so much, and was inspired on the colors of the circles to create this layout using one of the new cut files (Book Shelf) for this layout.

First i  created the cut file to fit a large portion of the background, and used papers from the Office Hours and Just a Little Lovely collection to back each one of the books in the cut out.  A bit of foam adhesive  was used to  attach the cut out to the page.

Once i set the cut out, I fussy cut flowers from the Just a Little Lovely collection to decorate the page by adding clusters around the page.  Here is where i started adding circles as embellishments.

There are so many beautiful embellishments in the collections that it was so easy to find circle embellishments that would compliment the page.

All that was left to do was add a title - a mix of alphas from both collections, complementing enamel dots and a few splatters of black Liquid watercolor complete this page.

WONDERFUL MOMENTS TOGETHER - JustNick Studio

Nathalie with you today to kick start Word Week.   I love large bold titles, so this was an easy assignment for me, specially when i get to work with some of the JustNick Studio designs. 

For this page, i combined the Moments, Word 3, and Love List cut files to create the large title/background.   Since i am using a non-white background, i chose to cut each image from white cardstock.

I used the new Pinkfresh Studio Just A Little Lovely collection to back the letters of the Moments cut file.   A bit of foam adhesive between the patterned paper and the cut out create dimension on the cut out.

I cut each word separately,and then glued them together before attaching them to the background.    Once the title was in place, i added a picture of my kids and littles at the top of page, nestled in the "wonderful" word.

To decorate the page, i used the new Pinkfresh Studio Painted Florals Washi tape and coordinating dies.   I clustered the image together to form a visual triangle in the page, then added some phrase stickers and gold ink splatters.

I love how this turned out, and how easy it came together.   Mixing and matching word cut files from JustNick Studio will surely yield a one-of-a-kind image for your next project.  Make sure you check them all up!

SWEET MOMENT - Pinkfresh Studio (Monthly Challenge)

Nathalie with you with a new project for Pinkfresh Studio.   It is the beginning of the month which means time for a new challenge, and this month it is all about Watercolor/Mixed Media and the newest collections: Office Hours and Just A Little Lovely.

I was so inspired by the color combo of this challenge, so set out to find  a way to mix them all in a page which led me to one of  the Pinkfresh Studio cut files (available soon). 

Once i cut the image, i used a pencil to lightly trace the outside edge on the background, and then loosely replicate the images using the Pinkfresh Studio liquid Watercolors.

While the background dried, i used  a combination of both collections to back the cut out ( all the flowers are made from Just A Little Lovely, while some of the leaves and the banner are backed with papers from Office Hours).

I used  a bit of foam adhesive to attach the cut file to the background.   Then the picture was added, and all was left to do was embellish.

I used stickers from both collections to create clusters around the picture.   A few enamel dots and phrase stickers were scattered through out  the page. 

To complete the page, i added the word puffy stickers from the Just A Little Lovely collection to complete the page.
