Altenew Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there!

Welcome to ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: SEMI-DOUBLE CHRYSANTHEMIM RELEASE BLOG HOP +GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Virginia Lu's blog.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

It is the first of the month, which means time for a new Build-A-Flower stamp set.  This month's BUILD-A-FLOWER: SEMI-DOUBLE CHRYSANTHEMUM is beautiful, super easy to layer, and the results are gorgeous. Overall, a must have!   Let me show you what I have created with it:

This year, I have chosen to work my Gratitude Journal as  a yearly project instead of just during Thanksgiving season ( lesson learned thanks to COVID).  This page is all about my late grandparents and how thankful, I am they existed and shaped our lives.

My format of choice for this project is Heidi Swapp Chapters notebooks. So, once had cut my papers, decided to frame my page with vellum.

I used the BAF: SEMI-DOUBLE CHRYSANTHEMUM  with inks from Shade of Purple and Fall Harvest sets to create the flowers.  I love the color combination with the soft gray of the background.   The sentiment in the stamp set was the perfect title for the page!

For my journaling page, I trimmed about 2 inches of the width, and once again used vellum to  frame the journal.   I repeated the floral design at the center of the journal block, making sure that the flowers do not cover any important detail.

I just love how this turned out.  The page is simple, but the beautiful BAF: SEMI-DOUBLE CHRYSANTHEMUM just adds enough color and interest in a soft subdued way (just like my papacitos did).

Remember that you can always subscribe to the Build-A-Flower subscription program at Altenew's shop.     This will secure your stamp and die to arrive monthly at your doorstep.

As always, we are celebrating the release with a fun GIVEAWAY

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 03/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 03/09/2021.

Good Luck Everyone!

Now it is time to continue with the inspiration.  Your next stop is Laurie Willison.  Remember you can always return to the Altenew Card Blog to start the hop.   Here is a list of all the participants:

  32. Oh Nathalie, your grandparents look so very sweet in these pictures. What a treasure. I wish I had pictures of mine. All had passed when young and pictures were rarely taken in their lifetime. Even stories were not passed down much. What you are doing for yourself and your family with the journaling and scrapbooking is priceless.
