I am up on the Citrus Twist Kits blog with this new layout that showcases this month's Stories kit, This is Life "Gathering" stamp, and "Wild Thing" Add on kit. 

I think is my love for typography that drew me to the large chipboard words included in the add-on kit.  So i formed a simple design that would showcase both the title and picture in the layout.

The colors in the papers in this month's kit were the starting point for this page.   A bit of acrylic paint and watercolor create the background for the strips of paper.   A bit of gold shimmer paint bring the large word forward; the script word from the This is Life stamp complete the title.

To balance the title, I used a large picture of my son and nephew.   This month's exclusive ephemera is perfect to create clusters around the picture; and all those word stickers from Pinkfresh Studio are great to add small sentiments around the page.  Here is a small video that shows a condensed version of how this page came together:

welcome to my blog.  This is the first project for Citrus Twist kits using their November kits (they are all so beautiful!), and  follows the prompts from this week's 3-to-Inspire criteria:  ink/mist, stitching, and a cut file ( i designed this month's cut file for CTK!)

I am working with the negative part of the cut file.  The leaf cut file was used to just create small clusters of leaves at the diagonal, and then backed them with the exclusive paper from CTK, and stitch it to the Carousel collection paper.  A bit of hand stitching around the borders of the cut out secure the piece, while a bit of foam adhesive props the leaves, thus adding dimension to the page.

The large chipboard from the Deat Lizzy collection that are included in this month's Add on Kit just needed a few drops of mist to come to life and add a subtle color to the page.

A cluster of the exclusive embellishments just adds a small detail to this page:
