Hello there!

It is time for the newest CRAFT-A-FLOWER Die set; welcome CRAFT-A-FLOWER: BUTTERCUP!  this new die set is beautiful, and the movement on the flower design is perfect for all sorts of paper crafting.  Let me  show you what I have created:

I love the movement of the  CAF: BUTTERCUP flower, and decided to use it to create one of my daily journal entries.

I used a few shades of yellow cardstock to create the flower, this helps to add variety to the page.  In addition,  I used a few colors of green cardstock to create the leaves.

I used one of the Terrific Tags dies to create the tag, and added a sentiment from the Better Together stamp set for the title.   The flower die cuts softly zigzag through the spread, bringing color to the page.

I love this new CAF: BUTTERCUP die set, and I am sure that it will become a favorite for you, too.  Remember to take advantage of the CRAFT-A-FLOWER Subscription program to secure the monthly die at your doorstep.

Of course we are celebrating the release with a giveaway:

SUMMER -FUN IN THE SUN- --- Simple Stories

 Hello  friends!

I am totally in love with the new SUNKISSED collection.  It is one of the newest releases from Simple Stories, and it is juts Summer perfection!  The colors and patterns are bright, fun, modern, and oh so beautiful!  And well, since we are still in lockdown here in Canada, it was perfect to have a pop of happiness to work with...

I love Simple Stories patterned papers! It is the detail in the pattern that usually inspires me to create my pages.  This time, the waves in the Make A Splash paper were the starting point for my layout.   First, I enlarged and printed the picture of my daughter.  Then, I  used a plate to draw a circle on a piece of white cardstock, glued my picture to the top part of the circle, and then cut off the circle.

Next, I fussy cut a few of the waves of the paper, ruffled the edges a bit, and then glued them to the bottom part of the circle.  Finally, I trim all the excess waves from the edge of the circle.

I framed the photo with a circle of white cardstock, and attached this to the center of the 3x4 Elements paper.   I  pulled the sun icon from the cardstock elements from the Sunny Days Simple Pages kit (it was larger than the ones in the regular kit). I slipped the sun as if peeking from behind the top left corner of the circle and then added a few clouds and phrase stickers around it.

I wanted to keep the focus on the circle element of the page.  So, I set my title at the bottom of it. I used a few of the Foam Stickers to form my title, then added embellishments from the ephemera icons, sticker tablet, journaling bits as if forming a horizontal line at the same level as the  title.

The floaties icons are so cute, I couldn't resist adding one as if floating  between the waves.  Then just used a few of the enamel dots to accent the wave pattern on the photo.

I love when my ideas mingle with the paper design, and together they turn to a gorgeous page.   I am sure you are going to love the new SUNKISSED collection,  it will have you dreaming of those nice Summer Days.

YOU CAN ALWAYS USE A FRIEND - Doodlebug Design

We can always use the loving hugs of a close friend, even when they are made out of fur and stuffed with cotton.   I was lucky to capture this moment, and what better way to document it than by adding the whimsical new FAIRY GARDEN COLLECTION.

I opted for a simple, but colorful design for the page.  All the paper strips are about 1.25 in, and are arranged along the width of a Pettite Print paper.  The soft yellow polka dot becomes a neutral amongst the vibrant patterns.

I transformed the photo to black and white and added a few layers of paper behind it.   All the Chit Chat ephemera is perfect to add the sentiment to the page, while the fairies just add a bit of the whimsical nature of the picture.

I chose the new My Type Alphabet stickers to create the title of the page, and place it on the page so that it creates a soft diagonal design.  I grounded the page with a small scalloped sticker at the bottom edge of the page, and added a cluster of ephemera that caps off the page.

A few lines of journal, and lots of sprinkles popping throughout the page complete the page.  I love how this turned out.  Simple and clean with a touch of sweet from Doodlebug's Fairy Garden collection.
