Hi there!
Welcome to the Altenew August 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You are arriving from Therese's blog . Today, Altenew is releasing a new set of products that are sure to become fan favorites (some of them are at the top of my list); this release has a well balanced variety of designs that are sure to appeal to all of you. Let me show you what i have created with some of the products:
The new Antique Roses Stamp and Dies set is just amazing! They are so easy to layer, and the final image is just gorgeous. I used the stamp and die set to create this page all about my grandma (who i miss more each day that goes by).
I used the Red Cosmos, Tea Party, Pocketful of Sunshine, Rose Petal and Spring Bouquet to create all the flower images, and then die cut them with the coordinating die. Once they were all ready, i use the Lace Edge Die to cut the edges of a white cardstock rhomboid so that it resembled an old handkerchief.
I just set the picture to one side of the shape, and then clustered all the flowers around the corners of the page. Love how this came together, and the softness it creates on the page. The new Antique Roses Stamp and Die set is a must in your stash.
Next, i chose to work with the Simply The Best Stamp and Die set to create a new layout all about my Goddaughters smiles.
This new Simply the Best stamp set is probably one of my favorites ever (it is in my top 10 Altenew Stamp sets), as it is simple to layer, super versatile and with gorgeous details. I wanted something very soft and playful to add in this page, so i chose to skip the full image stamp, and just focus on the detailing images.I used the first to create the flower on white cardstock using Cosmic Berry, Coral Bliss and Violet inks to create the image.
To add softness and a bit of dimension, i chose to heat embossed the detailing petal with Altenew Embossing ink and WOW pink glitter embossing powder. These were then layered together for the dimension. To make sure these pop on the page i added a bit of Altenew ink sprays - Cosmic Berry and Pure White) using a brush through the Wavy Grid Stencil. To finish the page, i brought a few elements from the Live Your Dream collection. The following video will show you how it all came together:
I love working layouts with Altenew Stamps, and this month's stamps are incredibly versatile, but let me show you how i used the Wonderful Wycinanki stamp set to create a fun card/envelope set.
I pulled a few of the Altenew Mini Cube Sets to create the flower arrangements for the card panel. My choice was to mirror image the designs leaving empty space in the center where i could add my sentiment. The Simply The Best stamp set has a beautiful set of sentiments, so i chose to add one of them using Altenew's Black Obsidian ink.
The panel was then glued to a teal card base. Since the card was created to fit the panel, then i chose to create a matching envelope to fit the card, and added the same design -using the Wonderful Wycinanki stamp- to the front of the envelope. This stamp set is a must as the shape combinations are infinite, so it always will yield a one-of-a-kind project.
For my final project, i used my favorite stamp from this release, the Dot Art stamp set.
I chose to go for an abstract/grungy design for this layout in my Life Crafted Album (Citrus Twist Kits). In this page, i combined a bit of mixed media -using Cosmic Berry and Sunshine Metallic Ink Sprays-, and then used the Dot Art stamp set along with Cosmic Berry, Sunshine and Black Obsidian pigment inks to create the patterns on the page. The following video will show you how easily it came together:
It took all of 20 minutes to complete this page, and i totally love the final look of the page. Seriously crushing on the Dot Art Stamp set, and I know it will be one of the most used ones in my projects.
I hope these projects have inspired you to check all the new goodies Altenew is releasing. There is something for everyone. But, now it is the best part of the blog hop... GIVEAWAY
