Welcome to the Altenew July 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Stamping Mat Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You are arriving from Caly's blog - a list of all the participant is available at the bottom of this post-. I am so exciting to be taking part of this blog hop as i got to play with some awesome new products. Each month, i fall in love with the stamps and dies, but this time i am crushing on the new Stamping Mat.
This mat is made of silicone, is non-slip on one side and has a grid printed on the other side. The white silicone makes is ideal for stamping, watercolor, ink blending and heat embossing. Overall perfect, and probably one of my most used tools nowadays. Wait til you see it in action on the process videos of this blog hop. But how about i show you what i have created with the releases.
This layout was created using the new Graphic Brushstrokes stamp set, Golden Sunset, Lapis Lazuli, Tea Party, and Warm Gray mini cube ink sets. The single brushstroke image of the stamp set was used to create a stamped colorful background, and then the Halftone Circle die set was used to cut different size circles from it.
A bit of mixed media was added to the background using (Vicki Boutin black art crayon followed by a few Graphic Brushstroke stamped images). The circles were then attached to the page using machine stitching, and different foam adhesive. The title of the page was created by combining ephemera pieces from the Live Your Dream collection and the Graphic Brushstroke Stamp set. The following video will show you how it all came together:
Love how this turned out, the Graphic Brushstroke stamp set is a perfect background builder set, but the sentiments in the set are versatile, and can easily be used for a variety of cards.
These cards were created using the Charming Doodles Stamp and Die set along with sentiments from the Graphic Brushstrokes and Sophisticated Wreath Stamp sets.
I fell in love with the small and delicate branches in the Charming Doodles Stamp set; i used Altenew Black ObsidianPigment ink and Warm Grey ink cubes to stamp a few of them on white cardstock, then die cut them using the coordinating die set. I cut a small panel out of white cardstock and glued it to the card base, then clustered the die cuts so that they create a cascade to the sentiment; this was created using the Graphic Brushstrokes stamp set and the Pigment ink. A few sequins complete the card.
I stamped so many Charming Doodle branches that i had plenty to create this card. This time, i chose to create two clusters at opposite corners of a white cardstock panel. The sentiment from the Sophisticated Wreath was embossed to vellum, and then wrapped around the panel. A few clear sequin complete the card. Love how these turned out!
Let me show you a few more projects created with some of the new releases. For this layout, i chose the Bright Blossoms stamp set. The idea of creating a stamped frame for the journal lines of the layout was easily accomplished by using masks.
To match the stamped framed look of the page, I chose to use the masks and the Bright Blossoms stamp set to create the frame that surrounds the picture on the tag. Here is a video that will show you how it all came together:
I love the results that the masks help achieve on these pages. Altenew florals are some of my favorites, so, when i saw the Pen Sketched stamp set, I knew that it will fastly become a favorite in my collection.
For this card, i used one of the floral images from the Pen Sketched Flowers and the Altenew Antique Gold Ink to stamp the image on a black cardstock panel -this had been scored to form a frame on it -. I pulled my Prismacolor color pencils in white and gold to add a bit more detail to the florals.
To finish the card, a sentiment from the Sophisticated Wreath stamp set was heat embossed to the card. A few black drops were then scattered on the card. This was such a fun card to put together, and love with the contrast between the gold stamping and black background.
The images of the stamp were randomly stamped to form the background for the picture . In order to balance the layout, a large branch of the stamp's images was created using Gold Pigment ink. A bit of the Altenew watercolor was all i need to add color to the flowers. A simple sentiment from the Sketched Pen Flowers and a Walk in the Wood stamp set complete the page. Let me show you how this came together in the following video:
