Project Life Week 14

PL  Week 14

Hello there!!

Well it seems, Toronto is still not catching up with spring.  We are still under the shroud of winter that means a lot of time indoors.  That has not deter my need to capture and document our everyday lives.
This week we celebrated my niece's 8th birthday, that means lots of memories for my project Life album.  Here are my layouts for the week.

I continued with the pastel teal color from last week's entry

For the first part of my layout, I used cards from various Becky Higgins Project Life core kits.  I love teal, it is one of my favorite colors and i have quite a bit of cards in this color.  The mix of black and white pictures works perfect with the black statement cards.

All about my niece's birthday celebration

I bought this We R Memory Keepers Birthday Celebration kit  just to document the kids's parties.  I enjoy the colors, and they work so nicely with all types of photo prints.

I needed this small 6x8 insert to add an extra picture and journal the celebration

The smaller page protectors are a blessing to add just a few snapshots of the day without having to use up an entire 12x12 page protector, and having to add repeated pictures.   Here is the entire layout of the celebration.

I hope this provides some inspiration for documenting your everyday.

See you soon

Project LIfe week 13

PL layout week #13

The first page of this week's layout  (and part of last week's on the left hand side)

Hello everyone,

As i am writing this, i just realized that i mislabeled this week's layout.  We are on week 1, which means this page should read " WEEK 13" on the top right card... It will be changed after this (oops!)

Well, i am still keeping up with a weekly PL layout.  For this week, I chose to continue with the sunny floral paper and the yellow scheme.  This beautiful paper for My Mind's Eye was cut to fit into each of the pockets, and then replaced with the PL cards.

The color scheme worked perfectly with all the pictures of this page.

Since I had a large number of pictures, I had to use a second sheet for this week's layout.   Since it sits by itself, i was able to chose a different color scheme.  All the cards come from different collections created for Project Life ( I have a large stash of pocket cards).  I wanted to bring in some black, as I ways to tie in next week's layout.  I have to make a note to myself to print pictures in black and white.

I hope you are also, documenting your everyday.

See you soon...

Project Life Week 10

PL  Week 10

We are already at week 11 on our calendar, that means time to update on the past week (#10) on my Project Life album...

This week, most of the pictures were of different colors, so it was hard to find a unified theme.  Since we are in March which is usually represented by pastels and green,  I chose something in between and went with a teal color scheme to the layout.

I used papers from Pink Paislee to create the cards form the small pictures
in the 4x4 pockets

I found these 4x4 Heidi Swapp collection cards in my stash, and they helped to tie in the layout.  The 3x4 cards come from Dear Lizzy collection, and a Simple Stories Snap collection.  I love adding word stickers on to the pictures.  I am currently loving the Mambi collection.

For the Second page of the layout, i used many cards from old project life collections. I loved the cut-out cards, and they worked beautifully on this page.

Loving the soft teal color on the layout

Once again, i left a lot of empty space on some of the cards.   I like how it looks, and hope to keep them like that after I have added next week's cards.  I hope you are also documenting your life...  See you soon.

Project Life Week 9

PL  Week #9

This week's entry for my project life is a single page spread.  I captured my family's life and every day throughout the week, but it was all routine stuff, that had already be documented.

The completed layout for the week

I chose to use a We R Memory Keepers 12x12 page that can fit 4x4  and 3x4 cards  and/or pictures.  Most  of the cards come from different Snap collection from Simple Stories, as they work harmoniously together.

The cards and stickers come from Simple Stories' Heart Collection

My grandma would have turned 86 this year (she passed away 4 years ago), so I marked her birthday on my layout using Simple Stories' new collection, HEART.  I bought this collection especially to create some layouts about her.  It is lovely, and the cards have beautiful sentiments, and worked perfectly on this page.

I hope you are also documenting your 2016.

See you soon.

Project Life Layout Week #8

PL  Week 8

Sunday nights are Project Life night in my house.  I like to go through all the week worth of pictures, and chose the most relevant to our family and our little piece of the world.   I am still new to Project Life, but i enjoy having a way to document our every day.  The layouts are not as nice as my scrapbook ones, but i love the fact that i can have all the pictures displayed in one album with the story of why, who, where and when next to it.

Firsr page of this week's spread.

Still trying to continue with the red accents in all the  February pages,   but since this week there is a lot of my nephew's birthday party snapshots i also used a colorful spread... Here is the first page,  I am using Amy Tangerine's Finders Keepers collection for some of the small cars, while the larger 4x4 cards come from American Crafts, Simple Stories and Heidi Swapp collections.

The second page of this week's PL layout.

A few weeks a lot I came across this American Crafts Birthday collection, and added it to my stash.  It worked perfectly to showcase my nephew's 3rd birthday celebration.  The  added decoration, comes from different collections.  The top sticker on my nephew's picture comes from Freckled Fawn, while the large love sticker comes from Echo Park's Our Family collection... The phrase stickers come from Teresa Collins' Our Daily stories collection, and My Mind's Eye marketplace collections.

The third page of this week's layout

Since there was a lot of pictures taken at my nephew's party.  I used a third page to add them to our album.  I chose to print the pictures in 2x2, 2x3  cells so that i could collage them into the Birthday collection cards. Though this page is picture heavy, I enjoy seeing all the happy faces of the celebration.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration on how to document and display your pictures.

See you next week!

Project Life Layout Week 7

PL  Week 7

Another week has gone by.  Time is really flying this year,  and memories are amounting each day.  So i continue to use Project Life as a means of documenting my family's everyday.  Here is this week's layout.

Still trying to keep with a unified color theme for February.

This week, the cards came from different collections, as i was trying to pop the red in all the pictures.  The top two cards are from Becky Higgins core collections.  The typwriter card and the bottom right card are from Simple Stories Snap collection.  The middle card comes from a Heidi Swapp collection for Project Life.  All the cards worked in this layout since they all had varied shades of red and coral on them.  I added some white cardstock behind the collage of my doggie's pictures.  The simple title and wood veneer are enough to tell the story behind the pictures.

I like to print some of my pictures in black and white.
It helps to balance the layout.

It is the first time i work with this new page layout.  The pocket page protector comes from We R Memory Keepers -I purchased mine from Scrapbook Nerd, they are an amazing Canadian on-line business-, and it allots for 4x4 inch and 3x4 inch cards.  I struggle a bit with the location of my pictures since i was accustomed to the usual 4x6 and 3x4 inch combination pages.  Once again i chose cards with red hue accents to complete the page.  The top card comes from Teresa Collins' Save the Date collection,  the middle left card is from a Heidi Swapp collection,  the middle right card comes from Amy Tangerine's Stitched Collection cut apart pages,  and the bottom card is from an original Becky Higgins Core Kit.

The completed layout... Not one of my favorites.

I am so glad to be keeping up with my PL layouts weekly, though they are a work in progress (not to impressed with this layout) they retell my family's day to day...  See you soon...
