I started my page with a bit of mixed media. I just pulled a few ink colors that matched the paper colors and blended them into the background, making sure each color stayed within a quadrant of the page.
I used a paper cup and some black ink to create the broken circles around the page. To finish the background, I added splatters of the inks I used, and a few splatters of gold and black acrylic ink.
While the background dried, I pulled a few pieces of patterned paper that matched the colors of the background. I decided to cut a few flags and placed them behind pictures, so they will lay on the page around the same area as the respective color of the background.
To continue with the color blocking design of the page, I then used embellishments that matched. Thankfully there are so many stickers, Bits and Pieces, Chit Chat, and Odds & Ends that it made it easy to find pieces for each little quadrant.
I decided to set my title in the purple quadrant of the page, since I found the perfect pieces of Chit Chat to create the title. I made sure to add accents of black in each of the clusters, and the little bats were just perfect for this, I pulled them from Sprinkles, Doodle pops, Puffy Stickers, and Sticker sheets.
I love how this turned out, and how perfectly the photos fit in here. Remember to check the new Spooky & Sweet collection!
