LIFE CRAFTED - Citrus Twist Kits

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today! By now you all have seen this month's "MAKE IT A VENTI" Life Crafted kit.   I think we  are all in awe at what Trina is putting together for the kits each month, truly gorgeous patterns, colors and ideas that make putting together a layout super easy and fast.

It all started with one of this month's exclusive cut files.   I used the small screen version of it to cut two of them  with the same dimension but as mirror images of each other,so  that i can sandwich patterned paper in between both sides of the page.

For the first layout, i used the heart screen as the background for my picture.   Since i was backing the cut file,  i chose to print the Digital TN papers so that i can have the same pattern for both sides of the page -having the option to print my own papers on demand helps to stretch the kits and personalize them, so check out the digital files available in the store-.

The picture of both my Goddaughters  was backed with the one of the Make It a Venti kit's papers and set on the heart background.   I added a few of the cut apart elements to the picture to create a cluster, and then brought a few stickers from last month's Life Chapters kit to add sentiments to each cluster.   I added my lines of journal at the bottom of this page.

To complement this page, i used the b side of a previous 3x8 insert to  add a few of the kit's PL cards and house my title in one of them.  For this, i printed the flower frame PL card and fussy cut the floral image.  This was then glued to the top of the card, the empty space left was the perfect spot to add my title using the mini rose gold alpha stickers from the kit.    The bottom card was  used as a filler card,  but was the perfect complement on color and sentiment for my layout.

Remember i mentioned that i cut two mirror image cut outs of the heart screen, and sandwich patterned paper in between them; well here is the b-side of the layout.  This time i went for a simpler approach in this page.

This time, I am using the cut out as a complement to my picture and not the background. So, i decided to add my title to this page using a combination of the ephemera and Puffy Alpha stickers from the Make It a Venti kit.   The word sticker and chipboard heart are pieces from past kits that complement this page.

I used one of the TN digital papers as the background for my picture.   This time, a paper from the kit was used as a layer behind the picture,  To repeat the colors in the title, labels and stickers from the cut apart sheet and previous kits were used.  I cut one of this month's PL cards to create my journaling spot and sentiment under the picture, and then finished  this spread by adding a few stamped sentiments using one of the add-on stamp sets.  The following video will show you  how it all came together:

The new "Make It A Venti" Life Crafted kit is sure to be one of my most favorites to date.   Plus having the option of printing my own papers and PL cards on demand make it so much more lasting, so check out these option son the digital CTK shop.

Remember that you can always contact me with any questions on how this was put together. I cannot wait to see what you all create.

PINKFRESH STUDIO 5th BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP CELEBRATION

Hi there!
Today Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating their 5th Anniversary with a fun blog hop!  I am so glad you are stopping by as you are arriving from Yoonsun 's blog.

I am a huge fan and collector of Pinkfresh Studio goodies; i love their collections, stamps and dies, and might have a few or most of their products somewhere in my stash.  So, I was ecstatic when they invited me to be part of the blog hop, and sent the beautiful Out and About collection for me to work with.   Let me show you what i have created for today:

My first layout is all about combining the papers from the Out and About collection with the new Adore Alpha Die set.     For this, i use the die set to create the background of the page, by diecutting all the words using the die from a single strip of white cardstock.

I used foam adhesive to prop the negative part of the cut on the b-side of the Travel paper, and then used the dies to cut the same words out of 6x6 paper pad.  Then glued only the positive letter cut outs to fill in the letter spaces in the paper strip.

The Out and About collection is filled with beautiful embellishments so i used a combination of all of them to create clusters around the picture and the page.  Here is the final layout:

Love the look of the page, but what to do with all the left over pieces from this page, well, i used them to create an entry on my Family album (Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted)

This time i machine stitched a piece of the Explore paper to one side of my spread, and carefully used the letter die cuts to create a title for the entry.   A bit of glue was all i needed to secure the letters to the page. I used the empty spaces at the bottom of the title to add a cluster of ephemera that tell a bit more of the story of this entry.

For the other side of the entry, i created a pocket with vellum and machine stitching, and used it as a layer behind the picture.   I attached both to a page created from the Scenic Look paper.  I repeated some of the  embellishments in the cluster of the picture, and the housed my journal in a tag (from the collection) which is tucked inside the vellum pocket behind the picture.

The designs and colors in this collection are versatile and vibrant, and perfect  to document travel and every day memories, here is another project in my little Family Album  that uses this collection:

I used the tags in this collection to add the travel feel to this two part PL spread.   Once again, i used the embellishments and papers to bring these memories together in my album.

For the first part of my spread, i used the colors and shape of the embellishments to bring your eye to the picture of my daughter and littles roaming around the mall.  The tag houses the journal lines, and it is attached to the album with pieces of acetate as they will be the division/linking piece of the complete spread.

This part of the spread has a more monochromatic look, but still works as a whole with the first part of the spread.   The hint is placement and repetition on the embellishment shapes.   I glued the two tags together, so that they can easily be flipped between the two sides of the spread.  LOVE how this came together.

And now to the last project created for this blog hop.  For this page, i combined the Out and About collection with a bit of Liquid watercolor.

I kept the page simple, but added lots of embellishments that help me tell the story of a day visiting the city's skyline on a ferry boat.   Here is a video that shows you how it  all came together:

The page is simple, colorful, and a just representation of our little city adventure.   The papers, embellishments of the Out and About collection are enhanced by the simple mixed media background.

ALTENEW 5th ANNIVERSARY BLOG HOP DAY 3 + GIVEAWAY

Hi there!
Welcome to the Altenew 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 3 + Giveaway!!!   Happy Birthday Altenew!
You must be arriving from Virginia Lu's blog..

Today I am so excited to join in the Altenew Anniversary celebrations as i love their products and all the people behind the scenes.  My collection of Altenew goodies has grown through the past 3 years, so  it was hard to just create one project for this post, so, instead i have worked a small compilation of projects all inspired by Altenew.

Let's start with a card, for this, i glued one of the white resin frames  to the center of a tan cardstock that is already set on a white premade card.   I stamped the Perfectly Perfect floral image  and the Beautiful Peony leaves onto heavy cardstock,  and used the Altenew Artist Marker set E to detail each of the images

A cluster of the stamped images was added to the corner of the frame using strong glue and foam adhesive.   The sentiment comes from the Envelope Stickers, I simply glued the sticker to cardstock, and trimmed it to form the small banner.

A few clear sequins complete the card.  My CAS card design makes each of the elements stand out, and i love the striking results in this card.

As i mentioned, i had fun creating for this blog hop, and my next project is all about using the Altenew Handpicked Bouquet stamp set and its layering guide to create an entry on my Family Album (Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted album).

I used the Altenew Crips Ink in Black Jet to create an impression of the stamp around the border of the layout, then used the Rose Petal, Tropical Forest  Mini Ink CUbes set along with Buttercream and Coral Bliss to add color to the images.  A few drops of Altenew Metallic Ink Spray in Cosmic Berry and Sunkissed  complete the background.   The title was created with a chipboard from the Live Your Dream collection and the Beautiful Peony stamp set.   To finish a few enamel dots from the Altenew collection were added. The following video will show you how it all came together:

All the projects created for this blog hop were a joy to put together, but this layout may be my favorite one

One of my favorite Altenew stamps of all times is the newly released Wallpaper Art. This time i chose to emboss the images in gold, and then used the Altenew watercolor pan set to detail them.   This was one of those pages that comes together in a moment of inspiration so no video!

I added a bit of white acrylic paint to the non-white background and layered the flowers in an "L" shape.   The pictures of my niece and daughter were then layered with papers from the Verdant Walk collection, and nestled at the corner of the page.  A few embellishments from the Live Your Dream collection were added to the page.

The final touch of this page are the small butterfly images created using the Dream Big Stamp and Die set in conjunction with the Altenew inks.  Truly love how this turned out, and how easy it came together.

All these projects were created to showcase the beautiful and versatile products Altenew offers. If you are a fan/collector of their goodies, then pulled them out and use them in your next project, and in case you want to add to the collection, then take advantage of their Anniversary offer:
