LOVE YOU TO PIECES - Technique Tuesday
Hi there!
My friends at Technique Tuesday are having a special sale on all their Thanskgiving Stamps over the next few days! I took the opportunity to create a layout for my Life Crafted album using the beautiful Love You to Pieces stamp set and Pieces of my Heart die.
As soon as i read the sentiments of the stamp set, i knew exactly what i wanted to create and the ideal photo for it. I pulled a paper form Citrus Twist kits and used the Threaded Crafting Dies to create the scallop edge on the paper .
I set the picture at the center of the page, and chose to add a label, cut with the Essentials Stitched Labels Crafting Die Set, to which i stamped a sentiment from the Cosmo Stamp Set . I kept all the embellishments and papers very monochromatic so that the picture will stand out on the page.
I decided to create a pocket page for this layout, and used a 3x8" insert to add my title and journal cards. I backed each space with the same paper and then used the PIeces of My Heart Crafting Die to create the puzzled heart die cut, and glued it to the card. I then stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and glued it to the heart outside of the pocket. I just added a few enamel dots to complete this card.
For the journal card, i used a pre-made card (CTK) backed it with the same paper used on the picture page, and then used the Essential Stitched Label Dies set to add a subtitle to the card using the Love You to Pieces Stamp set.
Just love how this turned out, and how the lovely monochromatic background brings forward all the details in the stamps and die cuts. Remember to stop by the Technique Tuesday Shop to take advantage of their sale on all Thanksgiving stamps.
Let me know if you have questions on how this came together,
XO

BEAUTY IS EVERYWHERE - Technique Tuesday
Hi there!
Today, I am joining a few fellow designers on a special project for my friends at Technique Tuesday using stamps and dies from their Scrapbooking collection. I chose the Just Us Girls Stamp and Coordinating Die set to create a new layout for my Family album (Citrus Twist kits Life Crafted album).
I love the corner cluster of flowers that the Just Us Girls stamp features, and then there is all the small floral images. So, i stamped them a few of the designs on white cardstock using Black Obsidian Ink (Altenew).
I chose a picture of my young cousins to document in this layout, and chose to color the images using Artist Markers (Altenew) to color the images picking colors from the clothing they are wearing. I made sure to just add a bit of color as i want the picture to stand out.
I used the corner images of the Just Us Girls stamp and Die set to frame the picture and the journal lines. The beautiful sentiments in the stamp set were ideal to add sentiments and the title for this page. A few drops of the coordinating ink complete the layout.
I love how this turned out, and all i needed was a bit of black ink, a few markers and the gorgeous Just Us Girls Stamp and Die Set from Technique Tuesday.

I LOVE YOUR SMILE but THIS PHOTO MAKES ME LAUGH - Technique Tuesday
Hi there! Nathalie with you today with a layout that uses the fun Laugh and Smile Stamp Set, along with the Layered Smile Crafting Dies, and the Layered Laugh Crafting Dies. These new sets are sure to be a staple in my documenting, as they are versatile and lots of fun. Let me show you what I have created.
To create this page, I pulled the Oh Happy Day collection from Simple Stories and cut one of the collection’s papers to fit the size of my Life Crafted album (Citrus Twist Kits). The idea was to create a fun border for the pages, so I used the Cascading Hearts Border crafting die to create the edges of the layout.
In addition, I used the Cascading Hearts Border Crafting Die to detail another strip of paper (same collection) so that I could use it to create the title of the page on the other side of my layout. Here I used a combination of the Laugh and Smile Stamp Set and the coordinating dies to create an elaborate title for this layout.
For the title, I used some black ink to create two sentiment boxes on white cardstock using the Laugh and Smile Stamp set. These were fussy cut and popped with foam adhesive on the page. The Layered Laugh crafting die and Layered Smile crafting die sets were used to create the script “Smile” and “Laugh” words twice from metallic black paper. This were stacked together, and then glued on the page to complete my title, so that it reads, “I LOVE YOUR SMILE, but THIS PHOTO MAKES ME LAUGH”.
To balance the title, I chose to add the picture at a mirror position and then added a few clusters around it. I chose to use the words, “smile” and “laugh” from the Laugh and Smile Stamp set at the bottom of the picture to emphasize the sentiment of the page. Some of the negative heart pieces were then glued to the layout to bring some extra color pops.
The Laugh and Smile stamps are sure to become a staple on my collection. They are part of the Memory Keeper Studio Collection. Make sure to check them out on the Technique Tuesday shop. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank you all so much!

TAKE THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED - Technique Tuesday
hi there!
My friends at Technique Tuesday are having a super fun promotion for the next few days on all their Travel theme stamps and dies, so, i chose to create a fun new spread for my Life Crafted album (Citrus Twist Kits) using their Perfectly Wonderful Stamp set and Snappy Camera Crafting dies.
I pulled a few pictures from our last trip to my native Ecuador and Pinkfresh Studio's Out and About collection to create this page. Once the background for my page was cut, and the pictures backed with papers from the collection, I decided to start working on the title card.
Using the Perfectly Wonderful stamp set and soft blue ink, the entire card was stamped with travel sentiments from the set. Then the Snappy Camera Crafting Dies were used to create a few camera die cuts, these were layered on the card. The title for this page was then stamped on a piece of the paper using the Perfectly Wonderful stamp set and layered on top of the die cuts with foam adhesive.
Using the Snappy Camera Crafty Dies, i cut the "Oh Snap"speech bubble to use as decoration for the second card. However, i chose to trim the small tail of the bubble and just leave the die cut as a label at the bottom of the picture.
For the other side of the spread, i used some of the Snappy Camera die cuts to create small clusters around the picture and journal spot. One last sentiment from the Perfectly Wonderful Stamp set was added at the bottom of the picture to complete this page. The following video will show you how it all came together:
I hope this inspires you to visit Technique Tuesday and take advantage of their promotion:

Technique Tuesday & WOW! Embossing Powder Blog Hop

Hi there!
Welcome to the Day Two of the Celebrate Summer with Technique Tuesday and WOW! blog hop and giveaway! You must be arriving from Sidnie's blog ( if you skipped a stop, you can start the loop here or check the bottom of the post for a list of all the hop participants).
I am so happy to be part of today's celebrations with all these super talented ladies (like, how awesome are their cards!). I love how each is starting their summer with their lovely projects, so i decided to join them with an entry to my Family Album (Life Crafted Album from Citrus Twist Kits).
I started by using the WOW Rose Glint and Gold Pearl powder to heat embossed the ice cream treats from the Memory Keepers Studio Sweet Summertime Stamp set. Each image was then detailed with watercolors, and set to dry completely.
Once the images dried completely, a fine brush was used to add a coat of embossing liquid to the images in order to detail them. Here i used a combination of WOW Metalline Himalayan Musk embossing powder, Taffeta Pink Embossing Glitter and Gold Pearl embossing powder to add details and that extra sparkle to the layout.
The layout background was created using papers from Echo Park's Best Summer Ever collection. For the right side of the layout, i used the embossed Sweet Summertime images to create clusters around the picture. Here a small label was created using the Essential Stitched Label Crafting dies; this was placed at the bottom cluster so that it can hold the lines of journal.
For the left side of the page, i decided to add three smaller pictures of my family and then create a large cluster/line of the embossed images to the left side of the page. I placed the title on the center photo; for this i used the Cool and Sweet Word Crafting Dies to cut a few words from white cardstock. These were stacked together to add dimension to each word, and then embossed with the WOW Pink Tafetta and Black Twinkle embossing glitter. The word "Treat" from the Sweet Summertime stamp set was then embossed using WOW Rose Glint embossing powder to complete the title.
I love how the WOW Embossing Powders bring the perfect sparkle and detail to the Sweet Summertime images and Cool and Sweet Word Crafting dies in this page. I hope this inspires you to check all the embossing powders and of course stamps and dies and combine them in your next project, and now let's check the fun part of this blog hop.

CELEBRATE EVERYDAY BEAUTY - Technique Tuesday
Hi there!
I am so excited to have
been invited as a guest designer for a few months here at Technique
Tuesday. I love stamps because they are one of the most versatile tools
when memory keeping, and this month’s new releases, Beautiful Butterflies and Beautiful Butterflies Silhouettes, were the inspiration for the layout that I am
sharing with you all today.
To start this layout,
I created a series of labels using the Essential Stitched Dies from different patterned papers. The idea was to create a column of labels
that resembled a tiled background loosely.
However, I did not glue the labels to the background.
Using color inks -to
match those of the papers- a series of images from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp sets were added onto vellum. I chose to emboss all the images using
different embossing powders so that they have a two tone look on them. Since the color ink was used to stamp the
images, the underside of the butterflies has
a different color that the embossed side of them. These were all fussy cut and set aside.
To construct the
layout, the Beautiful Butterflies Silhouette
stamp was used to
create silhouette images of the butterflies around the labels in coordinating colors to the ones used on
the vellum butterflies. Some of the
stamped butterflies were added before gluing the label to the background while
others were added above the labels. To
each silhouette, the coordinating vellum embossed image was added with glue
dots, so that dimension was created on the wings.
To finish the page, a
few embellishments were added to some of the labels, and around the picture in
clusters. The title was then added by
using one of the labels created with the Essential Stitched Dies and a sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.
I hope this has
inspired you to use the new Beautiful Butterflies and Beautiful Butterflies Silhouettes in a project of your own. I have prepared a small video to show you how this came together:
