Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Hydrangea Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW PAINT-A-FLOWER: HYDRANGEA RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Amber's blog!   - a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience-.

Today, Altenew is releasing a new Paint-a-Flower, meet HYDRANGEA... this flower is so beautiful and you are going to enjoy using all types of coloring mediums to detail it.  Here is what i have created for today's hop:

I chose to stamped the PAF: HYDRANGEA with Obsidian Black ink on the left of the layout so that it covered the left side of the page.

I used the Altenew Artist Watercolor palette to detail the blooms in lilac, light blue and a hint of green in the centers of the blooms.  Once i finished, i used my typewriter to add my lines of journal and added the stamped title using the sentiments of the stamp set.

To make sure the picture is the focal point in this page, i cut the cardstock to form a large tag, and this time, i stamped the PAF: HYDRANGEA images at the bottom of the tag with Black Obsidian ink.   This time i added a wash of the colors used in the left side of the spread, and added splatters of the colors to both sides of the page to tie them together.

Just love how this came together so easily.  The new Paint-A-Flower: HYDRANGEA is sure to become a new favorite in my list of Altenew products.  Make sure you get yours.
