YOU, ME & LIFE - Citrus Twist Kits

Hi there!
It is March already! which means a new Life Crafted kit and Add on from Citrus Twist Kits.  This month's kits are some of my very favorite: colorful, versatile, and incredibly easy to mix and match.   I have so many everyday pictures to document, but instead chose a picture of my childhood (one of the handful that has survived), and pulled the Add on and stamps to create this page.

 

Though i love mixed media, i went for a very simple design since i wanted to add lots of journaling on the page. So i cut two of the Stamp Market papers and layered them on a horizontal line at the top of the page. 

I chose a few pieces of paper from the March kit, and the floral paper from the February kit to layer behind the picture, and added a few pieces of ephemera and stickers around the it.

The large ampersand tag and die cut word helped to build the title.  I simply layered the paper under the tag, and added the words "you, me" with the puffy stickers included in the kit, then layered some florals and finally added  the "life" die cut.  Then it was all about journaling.

I made sure to mark the end of my journal lines with a strip of washi tape (also from the Stamp Market, and included in the kit) and then added the small ephemera, heart sticker and florals next to it.   Here i  added a few stamped images from this month's stamp sets, and finished the page with a few drops of black and gold ink.

i  love how this turned out! not just cause of the picture, but how easy it was to put together with the amazing March Add on kit. Make sure you check it out, as it is quickly selling out!
