Altenew March 2022 Folktales & StoriesCollection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello there!

Welcome to ALTENEW MARCH 2022 FOLKTALES & STORIES COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Coleen Balija's blog.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

Today's release is filled with a wide variety of products that are sure to fit all types of crafting.   It was so hard to decide a favorite from this group, but I had fun with my choices.  Let me show you:

The new BOTANICAL BOOKMARK STAMP/DIE Bundle is probably a new favorite or me. I decided to use it to create the cover page of my Reading Journal for 2022.

I created a few book shelves (Tall Tale stamp set)  at the bottom of the page, then added the floral " READ" letters as part of the title of the page.

For this layout, I am using the new ENDLESS FLORESCENCE STAMP/DIE BUNDLE to create the delicate vellum corner pieces on the page.

A  bit of alcohol ink for the background just highlights the details of the  delicate vellum die cuts.

I am so happy to see stencils that coordinate past Paint-a-Flower releases.  The new PAINT-A-FLOWER: CAMELLIA stencis perfect to color the stamp images in a flash!

I used the PAF Camelia to create the  bottom of the page border, then just matched the stencil and detailed the flowers in a flash!

For the last two projects, I am using the new GEOMETRIC BOTANY Stamp set for the background of each of them.

I cut the background into two pieces with the BOTANICAL BOOKMARK Die Set.  For the first bookmark, I simply filled most of the stamped image with color using the GEOMETRIC BOTANY stamp set, and color inks, then added a small sentiment from ROSY BLOOMS Stamp Set.

I trimmed the second bookmark to serve as a band in an A2 card panel.  I am adding color to the card, by using the ROSY BLOOMS Stamp/Die bundle and embossing powder to create one floral bloom; this was colored with Artist markers.  Once set on the card, then, I used the new FANCY KISSES stamp set to add the sentiment to the card.

I hope these have inspired you, and you are checking the new release.  Remember that Altenew is running a few promotions to celebrate the release.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Giant Bellflower Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)

Hi there!

Welcome to ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: GIANT BELLFLOWER RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from LauraJane's blog.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

This month's BUILD-A-FLOWER: GIANT BELLFLOWER is beautiful.  The  movement in the design is gorgeous, and it is easy to layer (plus you have a delicate outline stamp that you can color with  your favorite mediums).  Let me show you how I added it to my 6x8 album.

I wanted to frame both my story and photos with the BAF: GIANT BELLFLOWER; so, I first used the layering pieces to create two complete floral images in purple and pink shade.  However, I stamped the outline of the flowers with brown ink,  this softens the look of the flowers.

I used two of the BAF: GIANT BELLFLOWER to frame the  photos of the spread.  The movement in the design of the flower helps to create that circular look of the page.

For my journal page, I first stamped the BAF: GIANT BELLFLOWER with brown ink at the two corners of the page - this frames the journaling vellum...Then, I added  the colored images atop of the frame to bring the color from the pictures into this page.   I added a large title (Bold Alpha die set) and then added my journal lines.

I love how this turned out, and I hope that you have added the new BUILD-A-FLOWER: GIANT BELLFLOWER to your cart.   You are going to love it

Remember you can always use the Monthly Subscription program to secure Altenew's monthly BAF release at a lower price.

Of course, we are celebrating the release with a GIVEAWAY
