DECEMBER DOCUMENTED _ Doodlebug Design

I  am slowly making a dent in past December Documented albums.  Yes, there are still dates that have yet to be filled, and I love the colors and designs in the Oh What Fun collection.   I had so much fun working on bringing my memories to live in my 6x8 album, let's take a look:

I love how these came together so easily with a just a few combinations of papers and embellishments.  Sometimes all you need are simple designs to get it all together.

I started with this double spread that focuses on displaying the photos on the vertical lines of the spread tying them together with the same patterned paper - All Spruced Up-

I am using one of the papers from the 6x8 paper pad for the background of my page.  A tied white twine around the page, and used it to hang the photo on it.   I added pieces from the collection along the string to bring it all together.    A simple tile combining tags from Odds & Ends pack and Puffy Alpha stickers, complete the spread.

For this page, I am taking a advantage of the cards in the MErry Magic to crearte a pocket for my story.  I made sure my photos fit inside the card, then adehere to a piece of Spruce Up patterned paper.  Then adhere the card to the paper to create a pocket for my journaling card.

I am using the back of the previous spread to create this story.  I collaged my photos into a grid, and printed them together.  A simple title and the puffy stickers is all you need to embellish them.

I am using a piece of Pistachio Floral-Grid Petite print to creat my journaling spot.  Once again  a combination of Stickers and Bits & Pieces help bring focus and sentiment to the page.

I love how these turned out using the Oh What Fun Collection for my December Documented 6x8 Cupcake album.  Hopefully they inspire you to get crafty with it!

SWEET HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS - Doodlebug Design

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you look! So, let's get festive with the beautiful OH WHAT FUN collection and document your memories in style.   The colors, designs, and festive feeling of the collection if perfect for your holiday projects, and this time I am using it to document one of my family photos from 15 years ago (my kids were so little, and my niece was tiny).  Let's take a look at the project:

I love adding dimension and texture to my pages, so the idea of hanging banners helps to combine them both in a seamlessly while bringing a lot of interest to the page.

I am using pieces of the Christmas Eve paper, Spruced up paper and 6x8 paper pad to create the banners for this spread.  I used a pencil to help me form the curl at the top of the banner before hanging them in place on the white cardstock from the coordinating cardstock pack.

I am using a pair of eyelets to help me  with the design of the page.  This was an easy way to run some Doodlebug thin twine.   I did a double loop, so the first holds the banners, then the other ties into a bow at the top of the banners on the left.

I am papers from the 6x8 paper pad to frame my photo.  Once I placed it on the spread, I used a combination of embellishments to create a cluster on the top left corner of the picture.  I used the bototm right corner of the photo for a place to add my title.

To balance the page, I added one of the scalloped border stickers to the bottom of the page, and created a small cluster right below the banners.    To end the spread, I added a few Sprinkles around each of the clusters.

I hope this inspires you to create with the fun OH WHAT FUN collection, you are going to love your projects!

HOLLY JOLLY - Doodlebug Design

It is starting to look a lot like Christmas around here!  That means time to dust past memories and get them documented with the new OH WHAT FUN collection.  The color palette, the cute designs, and the overall feel of the collection is just what you need to get your holiday memories documented in style.  Let's look at today's project:

I want to take advantage of the large tags in the Spot of Fun paper, as a means to frame my photos and bring a bit of movement to my page.  So, I trimmed two of them and added my photos to the front of each.

I reached for the Citrus Floral/Graph for the page background, then laid pieces of paper from the 6x8 paper pad, then added one of the scalloped borders from the This & That stickers to anchor everything to the page.

I then added the frames on a jaunty angle to the left side of the layout, so that they overlap each other.  The position brings them to a focal point in the layout and also set the placement of the title.

I added pieces of This & That stickers to the pictures just to bring a bit more of interest to each of the photos. Also, I used Limeade thin Twine to create bows with large tails at the top of the tags - the  ephemera piece was the inspiration for the long tails-

To finish the layout, I played with pieces of Chit Chat, Odds & Ends, Bits & Piece and Doodlepops to  create my title.  Then a added a few sprinkles to complete the spread!

I love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to check the new Oh What Fun collection
