Scrapbook Layout - Together -
a close up to the layout. |
Hi there!,
Finally the kids are back in school, and i have time to work on documenting so many memories in my albums, especially when I find new cut files available to play with. For this project, I am using the newly released "Bull's Eye"cut file from the Cut Shoppe. Here is a small video on how i created the background for this project:
For this project, I altered the cut file's edit points to form a romboid shape. I backed the entire cut-out with pink vellum, and using foam adhesive, attached it to some pink cardstock (also cut in a romboid). To complete the 12x12in square layout, I stitched the card stock, to one of Dear Lizzy's new Saturday collection.
Since the layout was constructed in a very linear manner, the picture was glued on a slant, so that it is prominent on the layout. A few stickers in clusters around the picture just add a bit more interest to the picture.
For the title of this page, i am using another cut file from the Cut Shoppe, "Friends Forever". I made two cut-outs of the word. I used a black marker to shade the edge of the top cut-out, and attached it with foam stickers to the other word cut-out. A cluster made of tags, and ephemera, and the typed journal lines were added to the layout to complete the page. Here is the final layout:
I really like the final look of this page, even though it took a few tries with the cut file. As always, let me know if you have any questions about how this layout came together.
Until next time,
Keep on crafting!!
