HYBRID SCRAPBOOKING - Citrus Twist Kits

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today with a few layouts of my Life Crafted album using the beautiful AT MY TABLE kit.   I love paper, but i think i equally love digital files, having the chance to build and customize my pages always comes in handy when you do daily documenting.   Every month CTK subscribers get a lot of perks that can easily stretch your kit and help you create one-of-a-kind pages.  Let me show you...

For  my first page, i chose to work with the cut files (available for free to subscribers) to help me create my spread.   First of, i wanted to add lots of journaling  - all about my son and his tree- so, i used the Digital TN paper  as the base for my 3x8 insert.

I created the 3x8 insert in Photoshop, then added the Digital TN paper, followed by my lines of journal.    For my title, i used one the  sentiment from the Picture Perfect cut file by simply using the PNG format of the cut file and sizing the title to fit on my page.   After printing it, i backed the insert with a paper from the Life Crafted kit and slipped in the pocket.  A small chipboard sticker was then added atop the pocket at the bottom of the page.

For the picture side of the spread, i enlarged the picture to fit to the page, then cut one of the Life Crafted screens from white cardstock.  I backed the screen with the picture and used a black fine liner to emphasize the writing on the cut.   A small cluster of ephemera complete this page.   This was easy and really time effective when putting together.

Let me show you another idea:

As soon as i saw this floral pattern in the kit, i  had this idea for one of my spreads.  So i used the Digital PL cards to create the two sides of the page.   For the right side, i enlarged the 4x6  digital PL card to fit to the page, while the left side of the spread was built using the 3x4 digital  PL card.  I enlarged two of the 3x4 cards, and rotated one so that i could complete the left side border with the patterned -if you see up close, you could see where i joined the cards-.

To build my page, i decided to cut a panel of vellum to fit inside the page, and cut one of the 4x6 cards from the Life Crafted kit.  The picture was then glued to the card and a small cluster of ephemera and puffy stickers complete this page.

For my lines of journal, i simply typed them when i was building my pages, so i can print them all at once, but chose to add my title by mixing the puffy stickers from the At My Table kit with some stamping using the Typewriter font stamp set from CTK.  Once again, completely in love with how this turned out.

Remember to check the Digital Shop to find the files used to create these layouts.  As always consider subscribing to Citrus Twist Kits as you will have access to so many perks that will stretch your kit each month.

AS always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

HYBRID LIFE CRAFTED LAYOUTS - Citrus Twist Kits

Hi there!
It is always fun to open a new Life Crafted kit from Citrus Twist Kits each month and get inspired by its contents, but my favorite part of receiving the kits is opening all the digital files.   I love having the power to customize my pages using digital files, it gives them a one-of-a-kind feel that we all strive for.  The following pages focus on the This is Life: LET'S WANDER  digital stamp set to create my title pages.

For this page, i started by enlarging the picture of my son and nephew walking around town, and added a few cut apart digital elements  to create the cluster on the picture.

To create the title of the page, i enlarged one of the circle images from the Digital stamp (to fit almost the entire width of the page.  I used the physical form of the same stamp set to add the small sentiment at the bottom of  the circle, and then  carefully cut around the inner circle outline.

I backed the empty space with a picture of my kids walking around our local farmer's market and added more stamping. Since i had part sentiment from the top impression, i chose to repeat the same sentiment on the picture.   For my lines of journal, i chose to enlarge one of the Digital PL cards, added my story and then finish it with some stamping using the EXPLORE kit stamp set.

I love how this turned out, especially as it took no time to put together since most of it was done with the computer.   Let me now show you another idea on how to use Digital Stamps to create titles for  your  Life Crafted album.

This time,  i chose to create a badge (like the ones you get to add to your backpacks) using the digital stamp and some hand stitching.

I simply printed the image, poked holes along the lines of the image, and then backstitched all the lines.   The  circle was then trimmed and  then placed on the center of the  page (created with the digital TN papers from the EXPLORE kit).

All that was left to do was add the picture and create the embellishment and journal card  - these were all created with Digital Files from the September kit).   Just love how these turned out!!

Remember to stop by Citrus Twist Kits to check the September EXPLORE Life Crafted kit and all the digital files that coordinate with the kit.   Hybrid scrapbooking is probably a new concept for you, but you will love how it can transform your pages.  If you have questions about these, please leave me a comment.

My Personal Jounal - Week 25

Hi there!

Summer is happenning here in Toronto, the temperatures outside are reaching above 40C.  As always life is busy, and some things get put aside, in my case sharing my Personal Journal entries.  I am actually on to week 27 on my journal, but before I show you week 26, let me give you a peek at the previous week.

So much to document, that i chose to just keep it to a major story a day, and then work a few others for DT projects and a Summer TN.  Still using mostly my Citrus Twist Kits and stamps, along with some digital files from Ali Edwards and CTK.

I love working with digital files (CTK and IN A Creative Bubble ) in my journal.  The option of going hybrid for some of my pages helps speed the documenting process.  However, I cannot stay away from stamps, actually i find that i love combining stamps from different manufacturers to retell my stories.

Well that is all for me for today,   I will be back in a bit with last week's entries.  Remember to capture and document your story, as only you can!

take care!

My Personal Journal - Week 17

Hi There!

It is almost time to spend the entire weekend celebrating NSD (National Scrapbooking Day), but before  we get there. I will be sharing  a lot of content this weekend.  I want to give a look at week 17 in my Personal Journal.

I am still using my Citrus Twist Kits PL kits and new digitals  to create these spreads.  Also I  am loving all the CTK stamps that are just perfect to add the smallest details to the page.

Totally in love with the new 3x8 printables available at CTK and In A Creative Bubble, they are great for creating a page in a small amount of time.

I am also always looking for all those free printables available for my hybrid scrapbooking, and found this one at Paislee Press, and it was just perfect to complete this page about our 18th wedding anniversary

Now i am going to go an put on a cup of coffee to start my Scrapbooking marathon.  Stay tune to see all the inspiration that will be popping everywhere, and a few projects here, too!

See you all soon

My Personal Journal - Week 15

Hi back!

There are so many small little things happenning every day, and sometimes they combine and affect your daily routines.  To say the least, this week we had to deal with some family emergencies, and life.  These meant that the entries were kept simple so that they can easily be added to my tN.

Here are some of this week's highlights:

Still created these pages using mostly Citrus Twist Kits PL and Studio Calico kits.   Most digital stamps and elements come from Ali Edwards and Citrus Twist Kits.

I don't know if you were affected by this week's weather,  but around here it dictated how we spent our weekend, so what better way than to document it

well that is it for me, for now!  Hopefully things begin to settle, and I won't take long to share some of the entries with you all.

remember to document your every days!

My Personal Journal - Week 14

Hi there!

It has been a while since I shared a bit of my personal journal with you all.  But the past few weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster for us here!

However, I have kept up to date with my journal entries  (i might have skipped my daily 20 minute rule some days) even when there was no energy in me.

Here are week 14's entries:

I kept the entries super simple, and actually am loving the new digital cards from Citrus Twist Kits since they can be easily help with some of the hybrid entries on my journal.

I am still learning the ins and outs of  Photoshop, but i think that my quest to reduce the bulkiness of my TNs is pushing me to explore the know-hows of it.   I love adding Ali Edwards, Studio Calico and other digital elements to my pages.

Well that is all for me for right now.  The following post will show you what i created for the past week>

See you in a bit!
