Altenew 6th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 3 + Giveaway

Hi there!
Welcome to the ALTENEW 6th ANNIVERSARY BLOG HOP Day 3 + GIVEAWAY. You are arriving from the always inspiring Ellen Hutson Blog , a list of the all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

Today we are celebrating Altenew's 6th Anniversary!!  It is amazing to see all the products, projects and inspiration they have created in the past years, but it is the team behind the business that makes this company so inspiring and a joy to work for.  So, today, i combined a few of their amazing products to celebrate them:

I discovered Altenew a few years ago when searching for a flower stamp, so it is only fitting that i use one of the newer flower stamps - Poppy Garden - to create this page.

I started with a bit of mixed media on the background.    For this i combined a bit of  Lava Rock Watercolor Brush Marker refill and Watercolor Essential 12 pan set on a piece of double cardstock to create this watercolor rhomboid shape.

I used Embossing ink and Platinum Embossing powder to heat embossed all the images of the Poppy Garden stamp set onto heavy cardstock.  Once the images were embossed, i pulled my Artist Watercolor 24 Pan set to detail each of the blooms.

Once the images dried i used the coordinating dies to cut all the flowers.  At the same time, i backed all the pictures with papers from the Verdant Walk paper pack.

I attached everything in place with a bit of dimensional adhesive and then added a few stamped sentiments ( Tabbed Stamp set) around the photos.   To add extra movement to the page, i used the Mix and Match Mariposa Die to cut a few vellum images, layered them together, and then glued them around the page.

I used the  alphas from the Live Your Dream collection and the Sophisticated Wreath stamp set to create the title for this page.   A few drops of Cosmic Berry Metallic Ink Spray complete the layout.

I love how easy this came together mixing and matching products from Altenew.  Just love the versatility of the products and all you are able to achieve with them.

To celebrate their Anniversary, Altenew is having a special promotion that will help you continue crafting through this difficult time.

Altenew March 2020 Washi Tapes Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ALTENEW MARCH 2020 WASHI TAPES RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hi there,
Welcome to the ALTENEW MARCH 2020 WASHI TAPE RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Amber's blog - a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post-

Today, Altenew is releasing a new set of Washi Tapes, and there is so much to choose from, that i am sure you will find a washi to love.   I was lucky to receive quite a few rolls from the new release that i used them to create a variety of projects, let me show you:

As you may know, i am an avid journal/Traveler's notebook user ( my life is documented on these booklets), so what better way to embellish their plain covers than make your own with washi tape.

For the  first one, i used the 1" Gold Foil Washi Tape to cover the half of the first page of my journal. I then used the Floral Field Washi Tape to create the strip on the cover.  Here i used one of the Halftone Circle dies to cut a circle from the top part of the   cover.   I used a the same die set to cut a small circle and stamped the sentiment using the Small Moments stamp set.

The new Wild Flora washi tape is probably one of my favorites -because of its size and design-.  This time, i used the washi tape to to create the cover for the TN.  Once the cover is ready, i used the new Gold Splatter Navy washi to cut the labels for the page. I added a small sentiment on the cover labels.   Just love my new covered TN inserts.

The new Marsh Land washi tape is the perfect size to back a page of my Life Crafted Album ( Citrus Twist Kits).   This time, i chose to combined it with the Rose Petal Washi Tape set in this layout.

I created my own patterned paper by adding washi tape to a piece of cardstock and then using it to back my picture.  Love the ombre effect is awesome.

As it is expected, Altenew washi is high quality that you can even emboss sentiments and images onto its surface,  Love it!

Here is another example of the washi tapes in action.  This time, i mixed the Tea Party set with the  Painted Dots washi tape.   I used the wide tape to back the paper in the background on the page, and also create the Title card for this pocket page.

I used the Tea Party washi tape to cover cardstock and then cut hearts using the Halftone die set.   I then used the Layered Snowflake die set to cut the snowflakes that adorn the page, and the heart.  This was so easy to put together.

For my last project, i combined a few of the new washi tapes into a fun a simple layout.  It all started with the background; i added strips of washi tape from  the Sea Shore washi tape and the Sweet Dreams set to white paper, then cut them out and attached them to a 12x12 layout.

To create the embellishments, i used the Gold Splatter Navy, 1'Gold Foil, Round Art and Gold Stream washi tapes.  I attached them to white cardstock and vellum and cut them with the Halftone hearts die set.

A simple column of the die cut hearts embellishes the page.  I love how easy this came together, and you can watch the process video here:

Well, this is it for me, and now comes the fun part of this blog hop:
