CREATE COLORFUL MEMORIES - Doodlebug Design

Have you heard the phrase, "The Happiest Place in the World"? Well, mine doesn't have an amusement park, instead is filled with paper, glue, paint, dinner plates and lots of pictures. We are talking about my dining room table, aka my crafting table. So what better way to document me in my happy place than using the gorgeous Cute & Crafty collection.

I started with the Bright Ideas paper as my background, and added a bit of color with inks and paint. I chose a soft rainbow for the background colors.

I simply framed my photo with a 6x6 paper, then placed it on the right side of the page atop the mixed media. Then it was all about using all the cute icons to embellish the page.

My idea was to at best color block the icons to the background. There are so many details in all the pieces, and it was hard to not choose all of them.

I used Chit Chat pieces and Abigail Alpha Stickers to complete the title, and tied all the page together with a small cluster of flowers from the new Bits and Pieces set. Don't you just love them all!!

The new Cute and Crafty collection is just perfect to document me at my happiest place! Remember to document you at your happiest place, especially if it has pretty paper, photos, and glue around!

CUTE & CRAFTY CRAFTING FRIENDS Layout | Nathalie DeSousa

It is time to celebrate all those special crafty friends with the new Cute & Crafty collection. The entire collection is perfect to bring your love for any crafting hobby to your projects. I am blessed to have a few crafty friends who share my love for memory keeping just as much as I do, so this was a perfect way to document them.

I started with one of the new Cute & Crafty cut files. I modified them to look like a row of polaroid frames. Once cut from white cardstock, I inked the outer frame, then filled the square with pieces of paper from the 6x6 paper pad, and the 2x2 cut aparts from the Perfectly Plaid paper.

A bit of foam adhesive helped when attaching the frames to the Sew Cute paper. I made sure to alternate patterned and designs in the squares. This allowed me to embellish a bit more some of the squares.

I backed my picture ( and these ladies are actually my friends in real life!) with a 6x6 paper, then used the new Bits and Pieces to start a cluster of embellishments at the top corner of the photo.

It was so easy to create this title using Chit Chat pieces and that super cute DoodlePop ( now I need to order more of the polaroid cameras!).

I love how this turned out, and I cannot wait to keep using this collection to document a few more crafting adventures!
