FEBRUARY MONTHLY CHALLENGE - Pinkfresh Studio

Hi there!

Today, we are starting a new monthly challenge at Pinkfresh Studio's blog.  February is all about Alphas and Words, plus a vibrant color palette from the Some Days collection.   Here is what I have created for the challenge:

I started with the new Espresso Machine cut file from Pinkfresh Studio.  It was cut  three times so that when layered together it gives dimension to the image.   I backed the cut out with papers from the Some Days collection.

To create my background, I used an empty paper cup and Espresso Liquid watercolor from Pinkfresh Studio to create coffee cup ring stains on the page.  I cut a few paper strips and layered them at the bottom of the page to anchor my layout here

I used an envelope and large ticket to layer behind the pictures.   They are all placed at a  bit of an offset that adds movement to the page.  There are so many cute embellishments,  it was easy to add them to bottom of the cluster.

To complete the page, I worked my title by combining the three alphas sets from the Some Days collection with the Lea's Ornate Uppercase Alpha Dies and Heather Lowercase Alpha dies.

Remember to check the Pinkfresh Studio Challenge blog for all the details of the challenge.  You could win a $50 gift certificate to the shop.

READER FOR LIFE - Pinkfresh Studio

Hi there!

It is time for a new challenge for Pinkfresh Studio, and this month is all about circles and the colors in the beautiful Office Hours collection.

I love the collection so much, and was inspired on the colors of the circles to create this layout using one of the new cut files (Book Shelf) for this layout.

First i  created the cut file to fit a large portion of the background, and used papers from the Office Hours and Just a Little Lovely collection to back each one of the books in the cut out.  A bit of foam adhesive  was used to  attach the cut out to the page.

Once i set the cut out, I fussy cut flowers from the Just a Little Lovely collection to decorate the page by adding clusters around the page.  Here is where i started adding circles as embellishments.

There are so many beautiful embellishments in the collections that it was so easy to find circle embellishments that would compliment the page.

All that was left to do was add a title - a mix of alphas from both collections, complementing enamel dots and a few splatters of black Liquid watercolor complete this page.

Remember to stop by the Pinkfresh Studio Fans page on Facebook to join in the challenge and  have a chance to win gift certificates to the Pinkfresh Studio shop.  As always  do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions on how this came together.
