Hi there!
Welcome to ALTENEW MARCH 2022 WHIMSICAL FAIRY TALE COLLECTION BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY. You are arriving from LauraJane's blog. A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.
Today's new embossing folder and stencil collection release is fun and versatile. There is a collection of delicate and unique designs that are sure to bring that magical touch to your projects. Let me show you what I have created with my product choices.
I am a fan of geometrical shapes, so the new CHECKERED DIAMONDS 3D Embossing Folder was probably one of my favorites. I started with blending ink to the background going from light blue to light teal, them running it through my embossing folder.
For my next project, I took advantage of the new SYLVAN BAROQUE 3D Embossing folder for a slim line card.
I simply embossed the card panel twice. Then added a bit of black ink to all the flowers - this brings the details of the folder-. I added a sentiment and some crystals to complete the project.
The new FLOWER BED 3D Embossing Folder is beautiful. This time, I added the ink to the top flap of folder before running it through the die cutting machine. The results are magical,
I trimmed the embossed panel to fit inside the frame ( Stamp Frame Die set) then used metallic paper to cut the sentiment for the card.
For the last project, I wanted to use the SCALLOPED FRAME 3D Embossing folder to create the background for the card. Once I embossed the panel, I used an ink blending tool to add color to just the frame.
I added one of the CAF- Magnolia as the focal point of the card, then stamped the sentiment to complete it all.
All these projects came together very easily. I am sure you are going to see all the possibilities of the Whimsical Fairy Tale Collection.

ReplyDeleteThe slim line card is striking. Such a contrast with the other cards with their soft colours---all of which I thought wonderful. It always catches my eye when large images are only partially shown on the cards. Thank you for sharing your ideas and creativity.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea on the slimline card! None of my embossing folders will allow the flipping around the paper to extend the texture without an ugly gap that you have to figure out how to cover. Thanks for showing this one's versatility.
