hi there!
Welcome to the Altenew Metallic Watercolor Pan Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You are arriving from Kathy Racoosin's blog (isn't she amazing!!!) - a list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post.
Today, Altenew is celebrating the release of their new Metallic Watercolor Pan set. The set is amazing, the colors are vivid, creamy and with lots of shimmer in each pan. I just loved the look of them and chose to create a layout that would showcase all of the colors.
To bring all the colors to the page, i started by embossing my background. I used Altenew's clear embossing ink and powder and the Geometric Landscape Stamp set to create the background of the page.
Once the background was embossed, i used the new Metallic Watercolor Pan Set to color each of the embossed spaces. I started with a wash of the color, and then added a bit more pigment to each area so that the color would disperse on its own inside the embossed outline.
Once the background dried, i chose to add just a few embellishments to the page using the Botanical Rhapsody washi tape. I attached the tape to vellum and fussy cut the flowers, then arranged them in clusters around the page.
To finish the page, i added a title using the alphas from the Live Your Dream collection and a few embellishments from the Reflections Scrapbook collection. The following video will show you how it all came together:
I hope you have enjoyed the show, though i had to shorten the length to show you the entire process video.
It is time now for the fun part of this blog hop, GIVEAWAYS
