ALTENEW BUILD A FLOWER: FUCHSIA RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hi there!

Welcome to the ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: FUCHSIA RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.   You are arriving from Mindy's blog  ( a list of all the blog hop participants is available at the bottom of this post).  Today i am so excited to be taking part of the new BAF: Fuchsia release.
I have to say that this is a special stamp for me, as it reminds me of my childhood, so i was so happy to see it be a part of the collection.

It is such a delicate design, that i chose to create a simple page on my Family album using watercolors and the stamp.

I wanted to highlight the stamp, so i decided  to detailed a few branches of flowers in my pages using the stamp and the Altenew Watercolor Pan set.

I cut a background from watercolor paper and stamped the flowers using Altenew Black Obsidian pigment ink.  Since i randomly stamped the images, i freehand the branches by hand using a fine liner, and set to detail the images.

I know the original colors of Fuchsia flowers, so i pulled shades of red and lilac to color the images.  I carefully detailed each of the images, and set them to dry.

Once the flowers had dried, i used a flat watercolor brush to add the color wash to the page.  Once again i was careful to detail the spaces between the flowers as well as achieving an even color distribution on the page.

Once the page completely dried, i used the Altenew Black Obsidian inks to stamp the BAF:Fuchsia sentiments as my project title, and added a few lines of journal to the page. I chose to add a small insert with the pictures so that  i wouldn't cover the flowers in the background.    The following video will show you how this came together:

I hope this has inspired you to check this gorgeous BAF: FUCHSIA stamp and die set.   You will love it.
