HELLO SUMMER - Scrapbook Nerd

Hi there!

This week Scrapbook Nerd is shining their spotlight on ALTENEW, well it is not secret i am a huge fan and collector of Altenew products, and have been lucky to be invited to be part of a few of their blog hops.   This time i am using a new set of stamps and dies that recently picked up from Scrapbook nerd to create this page.

It all started by white embossing the Geometrical Landscape stamp on Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock to create a panel for the layout.  Each space of the panel was then detailed using Vicki Boutin watercolor markers in  Crushed Pineapple, Coral Macaroon, Cotton Candy and Sugared Strawberry.

To embellish the layout, first, i backed and layered papers from the Reflections kit behind the picture, and then used the Weekend Doodles stamps  and die set to create flowers for the layout on white cardstock.

The images were clustered at the corners of the picture so that they framed the picture completely.   A few stickers from the Main Squeeze  and Sunny Days collection from Crate Paper were also added to the clusters.

Finally, the title of the page was created using the Fancy Hello die from Metallic paper from Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy collection, and then paired with alphas from Pinkfresh Studio's Indigo Hills 2 collection.

A few drops of gold ink and a few lines of journal complete this page.    It is so easy and fun to create an entire layout from plain cardstock, especially when you are using the beautiful designs from Altenew.  Remember you can find all the materials used here in the  Scrapbook Nerd shop.  Here is  small video that will show you how it all came  together:

As always please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions on how this came together,

XO
