25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS TAGS - Altenew

Hi there!

Today a few of the Altenew Design Team are joining Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
We are so excited to kick-off the Christmas season, and  this is one of the best ways to get into the festive season.

I love Christmas and all the cozy and happy feelings it evokes.  So, i pulled my Altenew supplies and decided to create a large tag  that brings that festive feeling to the season.

I started with a 5.5"x3.25" white tag as a base, and first used the Layered Snowflake Stars Cover Die A to cut a panel from brown metallic paper. 

The panel was glued to the tag, but i carefully reconstructed the snowflake look of the design by  gluing some of the negative pieces back on the panel. 

I used the Altenew Layered Snowflake die to cut a few of stars from white and brown metallic paper.  These were glued together with a bit of dimensional adhesive to create the large snowflakes, i made sure to alternate the color of the snowflake layer as i build them up.   I used the smallest die from the set to cut two of the snowflakes from white cardstock and glued them together.   Once they were set on the tag, i added a small crystal to the center of each snowflake.

I used the Altenew Fine Alphabet Die to cut the word JOY three times from white cardstock.   These were stacked together to create a dimensional look to the sentiment of the tag.

All that was left to do was thread some ribbon to complete my tag.  I love how this came together, and its classical and elegant look.  Remember to stop by Altenew to check all the materials used in this tag.
