Scrapbook Layout created for Scrapbook Nerd - SPOOKY -
Hi there!
Today, I am up on the Scrapbook Nerd blog with this layout that brings Halloween and mixed media together. Can you believe we will be celebrating Halloween in a week!?!
You all know i am a fan of cut files, and i have a large library filled with many different styles. For this project, I pulled a free cut file (Patchwork Pumpkin) from Paper Issues. Once I created the cut file from white cardstock, I was about to back it with paper, but decided instead to use a bit of mixed media behind the shape. So a bit of Distress Oxides were used to create this background.
Once the background was dried, I went ahead and stitched the cut out to the mixed media background. To bring more of the Halloween feel to the page, the background mat was trimmed by a half an inch, and then stitched to one of the Amber Moon paper's from Prima Marketing.
All the embellishments and papers in the pictures come from the Pink Paislee's Spellcast collection (which by the way is a super cool theme collection!). Gotta love those gold alphas from the collection. But instead of talking about it, why better i don't show you how this page came together, so sit and enjoy:
I really love the look of this page. It is Halloween with a modern twist!! Remember to stop by Scrapbook Nerd to check all the materials used in this layout ( there are a lot of new products available in the store shelves). As always I am a comment away if you have questions on how this came together.
Take care!
