Altenew Fabulous Flora Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello there!

Welcome to ALTENEW FABULOUS FLORA COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Juhi Khanna's blog.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

Today new Altenew's collection of Embossing Folders, Stencils and Dies is beautiful and versatile.   There is so much you can create with them.  Let me show you what I have created:

My first project is a December Daily entry in my journal.  I used the CROSSING STARS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER to create the textured background of the picture side of the spread. The stars match the style of the shaker pockets.

To embellish the page, I created a few flowers using the BLOBBY ROSES STENCIL and DIE SET using muted tones of purple and gray.   I simply use them to fill my pockets, and embellishments around the picture.

For my next project, I used the new CURVING LEAVES 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER to create the cover of my 2021 Fall journal.

I used a brayer to apply ink to the folder pre-embossing.  The subtle color change is just enough to make the details pop.  A bit of washi tape and a simple title complete the page.

For my first card, I am using the new GEMS GEOMETRIC 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.   I love graphic linear designs, and this folder is just a perfect background for all sorts of paper crafting projects.

I added  a small band with a sentiment to the front panel, then used the Festive Florets die to add a focal point to the card.

I used the GENTLE BUTTERFLY 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER for this card.   I love this embossing folder, as butterflies hold a especial place in my heart.

I added ink to the embossing area, trying to shade the outer edge of the card, then used a bit of gray ink to color the butterfly.  A simple sentiment and some gold ink complete the card.

For my last project, I created a slimline card featuring the new IXORA 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.  This time, I embossed the panel twice, leaving the center space flat in between embossed areas.

I added a bit of ink to the embossed areas, just to make the flowers pop a bit more.   Then cut a simple sentiments three times, stack it together with a bit of an offset, and glued it to the flat part of the card.  A few gems  complete the card.

To celebrate the release, Altenew is hosting a generous giveaway...

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Camellia Waterhouse Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Hello there!

Welcome to ALTENEW PAINT-A-FLOWER: CAMELLIA WATERHOUSE OUTLINE STAMP SET RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Natasha Davies' blog. A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

It is time for this month's new PAINT-A-FLOWER: CAMELLIA WATERHOUSE OUTLINE STAMP SET.  This new design is beautiful and a great size for many different paper crafting projects.  Let me show you how I used it in my journal:

I just loved the design of the new PAF: CAMELLIA WATERHOUSE, and used it to create the journaling page of this spread.

I used Crisp Pure White embossing powder to create the images on the page, then used my Altenew Artist Watercolor palette to color the PAF: CAMELLIA WATERHOUSE in  tones of maroon and light blue ( this match the colors in the photos). A simple stamped title - Colorful Soul Stamp set-  completes this page.

I added my photos in a grid style pocket, and done! Love how this page came together so seamlessly with the new PAF: CAMELLIA WATERHOUSE Outline Stamp set.   Remember you can always take advantage of Altenew's Subscription program to secure your monthly stamp delivery at a lower cost.

WINTER SNOW FUN - Doodlebug Design

Winter is here! And if you are in the northern hemisphere that means we are enjoying frigid temperatures and lots of the white fluffy snow. We living in Canada gives you an appreciation for all the seasons, especially the winter months! You learn to enjoy the snow and the time outdoors, so many memories made in the snow. So, I am using the super fun Let It Snow to document my littles (niece and nephew) during a snow day!

I started by hand stitching a few simple snowflakes to the b side of the Frosty Floral paper.   I wanted to bring the feel of falling snow to the page.  So, once I finished stitching, I splatter white ink on the page.

I added a few sprinkles to the center of each of the  hand stitched snowflake. The small pops of color bring the snowflakes to live!

I wanted to create a winter scene at the bottom of the page.  For this, I ripped a piece of the North Pole paper and set it at the bottom of the page. I then used the natural line of  the paper to set the pictures on the page.  I added a few Bits and Pieces  to the corners of the pictures just to enhance the sentiment of the layout.

I used pieces from the Odds and Ends, and Chit Chat to add more embellishments to the page.  All those fun phrases are perfect to create a title for the page. Just a few extra stickers, doodle pop pieces and extra sprinkles complete the page.

Love how this turned out.  Those snowmen are perfect in this page.  Remember to check the Let It Snow collection, you are going to love it!

Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Feathered Lilies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello there!

Welcome to ALTENEW CRAFT YOUR LIFE PROJECT KIT: FEATHERED LILIES RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Juhi Khanna's blog.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

This month's CRAFT YOUR LIFE PROJECT KIT: FEATHERED LILIES is a gorgeous one!  You can mix-and-match each of the elements in the kit in your projects... that means there are infinite combinations and possibilities.  Let me show you what I have created:

Let's start with a card this time around.  Like I mentioned, the elements in this kit can easily be combined.   For the card, I embossed two pieces of cardstock with the 3D embossing folder.   Then, I used the  Layering/coloring stencil to add color to one of the embossed backgrounds.

I then used the coordinating die set to cut out the colored embossed image, and glued it on top of the other embossed panel.  I added a small sentiment ( Colorful Soul Stamp set), and a few gems. Voila!  Love how I was able to get the dimension on this page.

For this page, I decided to go for a softer look with the CRAFT YOUR LIFE PROJECT KIT: FEATHERED LILIES. This time, I softly stamped the image, and then used the stencil to color the image with soft colors.  I then restamped the image to  give it a bit more definition.

I used the coordinating die to create a partial cut of the image. I love having the white space under the delicate flowers. It gives the appearance of a pocket.

A bit of ink on the background, just makes the details in the flowers pop. I used the sentiments in the stamp set to create the title; finally, I added a photo of our family 14years ago to complete the page.  LOVE!!!
