HI there!

Welcome to ALTENEW PAINT-A-FLOWER: ROSA FLORIBUNDA OUTLINE STAMP SET RELEASE BLOG HOP +GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Verity Biddlecombe's blog.   A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience,

This month's PAINT-A-FLOWER: ROSA FLORIBUNDA is gorgeous.  So easy to color with your favorite medium. I  just wanted to use the flower to create a new entry in my journal:

I heat embossed the image of the PAF- RIOSA FLORIBUNDA onto white cardstock with Antique Gold embossing powder.  I wanted the texture of the stamp image to pop in each cluster.

I used Altenew's Autumn Festival Watercolor Markers to color both  images.  I then fussy cut the images, and used them to create clusters in  a pocket page.

I just love how this turn out!   Remember to check the subscription program to obtain your stamp each month at a lower cost.

FABOOLOUS PUMPKINS - Doodlebug Design

Who loves to carve pumpkins?  I am sure that most of us are not too fond of all the mess left behind, but then there is the memories of the cute or scary pumpkins that makes it all ok.  I love all the pumpkin icons in the Happy Haunting collection, and they were perfect for this page.

I am using the  Nesting Scallops Doodle Cuts to create the circle frames from black cardstock.   I wanted to keep the focus of the page on a single line, and these are just perfect!

I backed two of the die cuts with the photos, then used the 6x6 paper pad to back the rest of the die cuts.  A bit of foam adhesive helps to add the dimension (ie shadow) in each of the die cuts.  I made sure to alternate the size and position of each of the die cuts along the center line of the page.

Did I mention that the collection has the cutest pumpkins out there?   I used a few of the stickers along with a few pieces of Chit Chat to create my title.

I used the last die cut space to add my journaling, then added star sprinkles through out the page to bring it all together.

I  hope this inspires you to get your Pumpkin decorating memories documented with the new Happy Haunting collection!

Altenew Mighty Kind Stand Alone Dies Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hi there!

Welcome to ALTENEW MIGHTY KIND STAND ALONE DIES COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Norine Borys blog.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

Today's new release is one that you all will love!  There is so many choices, and they are all perfect for many paper crafting projects.  Let me  show you what I have created.

My first card features three of the new die sets.  I used the CALMING REFLECTION Cover Die to cut the card panel from white cardstock.   I attached it to a light gray pre made A2 card.   I then used the new LOVELY ENVELOPE Die Set to create the little envelope of double sided gray cardstock, then opted to cut all the hearts from glitter cardstock.

I used foam adhesive to attached the envelope and heart die cuts to the card base.  I used the BE KIND Die Set to create the sentiment for the card.  I chose to create the shadow die cut from pink cardstock, and the sentiment from glitter cardstock.  I love how easy this came together!

I love using dies to create my journal  entries.  This time, I started the page with the new

I started this layout by cutting the title from mirror paper using the MIGHTY ALPHABET Die Set.   The large alpha is just  dreamy!!!  I  am using the new FLOWING FOLLIAGE Die Set to create the embellishments for this page.

I love the small sentiment strips in the new WAY TO GO Die Set, and chose to cut one of them from mirror paper and add it to the bottom of the picture to complete my page.

For my next page, I am using the new  PAINTED BLOOMS Die Set for the floral  embellishments of this page - I love this die set!!!-.  It is such a small and detailed die set, you want to add it to your stash.

The angular lines of the SIMPLE SHAPES Cover die are the perfect contrast and compliment to the fancy florals!!  Just perfect combo!

For my last project, I am using the new ROSE QUEEN Die Set to create the floral image of the card our of metallic rose gold paper, then backed the pieces with white cardstock.   I created the background using the Diamond Star 3d Embossing folder, the contrast of the lines against the delicate florals is sublime!

I used the new WAY TO GO Die Set to cut a simple sentiment from the same paper and added it with a bit of foam adhesive!

Just love how all these projects came together so easily and with beautiful end looks.  Remember to check the collection at the Altenew shop, and the fun promotion with every purchase.

TOGETHER - Simple Stories

Hello there!

Nathalie with you today to share a new layout featuring the new Simple Vintage Weathered Garden.  I love Simple Vintage collections, but this new addition is probably one of my very favorite.  The color combo, floral design, and butterflies are probably the reason I love this collection.  There are so many beautiful pieces in this collection, it was so easy to create this page.

As always, the chipboard frames are always the first piece I reached for.  This time, I am combining one of the frames with the new Sticker banner for this page.

I started by trimming the Honey/Magnolia basic to 10.5x10.5 in square. I attached this to the Every Little Things paper ( along the top edge of the paper).   Here, I added a bit of mixed media to make sure all the pieces of the banner pop from the page

In order to fit the  chipboard frame as part of the banner.  I had to cut the frame in the banner so that the butterflies could sit atop the frame.    A bit of foam adhesive secures the frame to the page.

I added a few more embellishments through the banner, so that it bulks it up and is proportionate to the chipboard frame.

Lastly it was all about building a title for the page.  In order to balance the page,  I added a few of the foam stickers at the bottom part of the basic paper, making sure that it followed the same line as photo.  To finish, I added a few more butterflies, through the page,

I love how this turned out.  There are so many details in each piece of the collection, that you will have your projects done in seconds.

Altenew Inky Time Pigment Inks Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!

Welcome to ALTENEW INKY PIGMENT INKS BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY You are arriving from Altenew Card blog.   You can find the list of all the participant at the bottom of this post for your convenience.

Today, we are celebrating, probably,  my favorite inks  - PIGMENT INKS -  When the first set were release a few years ago, I could never imagine the possibilities of the inks.   But  of course Altenew   helped and created 4 sets of pigment inks that are just versatile, crisp, and overall super versatile.

The best part of the pigment inks is their ability to create crisp impressions on porous surfaces.  This means you can use the inks in other surfaces other than paper.  All you need is  a bit of heat to secure the color to the surface.

The formulation of the pigment inks allows them to stay fluid atop of paper.  This property is what makes them ideal for mixed media, as you can convert the ink from watercolor to an embossing medium.   These inks are great for blending, stamping, embossing, coloring, and watercolor ... Let  me  show you what  have created for today's hop:

I used the warm tones of the inks to create the background of the page. I simply dragged the ink pads along the edge of  the page, and set it with some heat.

Once the ink set, I used Sapphire Pigment ink to stamp the images - Forever in Love stamp set- at the edge of the paper.  Then used the Tye Dye Mottifs and Inspirational Quotes stamp set to heat embossed the title to the page.

I used the same technique from the background to create one of my journal cards.  Then once again, I used Sapphire pigment ink and embossing powder to create the soft embossed flap out of vellum paper.

I just love all the things that you can create with just the Pigment ink pads.  Be sure to check all the Pigment  Ink collection in Altenew's shop.  Remember you can always check the entire collection, just click here.

Of course we are celebrating these amazing Pigment inks with a giveaway"
