Today, Altenew is releasing two amazing products.  The CRAFT YOUR LIFE APRON ( make sure you get one, cause it is gorgeous!) and this month's new PAINT-A-FLOWER: SPIDER MUMS release.   I am sure you all are loving the apron, and the stamp!  But let me  show you what I have created with the stamp...

I just love the new PAINT-A-FLOWER: SPIDER MUMS stamp set, it is so delicately designed, and fit perfectly on my daily documenting...

I stamped my flowers on the background of my layout using Obsidian ink, and then used Altenew's Watercolor Brush Marker: Autumn Festival set to detail each blossom.

I loved the flower design so much, I did not want to hide parts of it. Instead, I used and exacto knife to carefully cut fussy cut the tips of the flowers from the background so that I could nestle my pictures under them.

The sentiments in the new PAF stamp set are amazing, and they were just right for this layout.

I hope that you are checking the new PAF: SPIDER MUMS in your shopping carts right now.  Remember you can always subscribe to the PAF program to receive the stamp at your doorstep, each month, at a lower cost.

FOREVER BLESSED - Simple Stories

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today bringing you some inspiration with the newest Simple Stories collection, ANCESTRY.   This collection is just perfect to document your family, past and present.  As soon as the collection arrived, I knew that this would be the perfect collection to document my grandparents.   They are no longer with us, but we owe them our lives -we ended their eulogies with, "We are who we are because of them.  They built US".  So, I just loved putting this page together...

I started my page with a large cut file from Handipaper  - the design of the flowers reminded me of the ones in the collection-.  I cut the file three times from white cardstock, and stacked them together to create a dimensional diecut.  I backed the empty spaces with papers from the collection.

The Timeless Treasure paper was the perfect background for my page ( I love the house sketch on the background); however I added a  bit of paint to the page, just to have a bit more white space for the pictures and title.

I used elements from the sticker sheets, tablet, Bits and Pieces, layered stickers to create clusters at the top left corner of the layout, and left of the picture.  I mad sure to frame the photos by layering them with cards and papers from the collection.

Since the cut file has a large part of the title in the design; all  I needed was the foam adhesive at the bottom right corner of the picture to complete the page.

I love how this page came together.  It is a truly fitting page about my Papacitos.   Be sure to check the ANCESTRY Collection , you are going to love it all!

6 FEET APART - Simple Stories

HI there!

Nathalie with you today bringing you a bit of inspiration.  The new QUARANTINED collection from Simple Stories is perfect to document all your stories from the past six month on isolation. I mean we all have stories to tell of the times spent at home/work, masks, and how about the toilet paper crisis.  For me, the biggest change has been learning to prep a week worth of groceries and trying to plan accordingly.  So, my page today is all about the crazy grocery shopping in Covid times:

I started the page by creating my background using the Social Distancing paper and Cedar Ledger Basic paper.   Next, I created a few long banners from the Staying at Home paper and attached them to the top left corner of the background.

I used pieces from the No Germs and Current Reality papers to back the picture, and placed it on top of the banners.  I used elements from the sticker sheet to embellish the top corners of the photo.

The sentiments and cute icons on the Stickers combo page are just perfect to bring the story to life on the paper.

To finished the page,  I hand stitched a large number 6 at the right bottom corner of the background and then added a few stickers from the Color Vibe Bold Sticker book to complete the title work.   I trimmed the entire background to fit 11x11" and then backed it all with the Staying at Home paper.

I hope this inspires you to document some of your Covid times memories using the new QUARANTINED collection from Simple Stories.

Keep Safe!

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Poppy Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!

Welcome to Altenew's Craft-A-Flower: POPPY Release Blog Hop + Giveaway.  You are arriving checking Norine's awesome project.  A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of the page for your convenience.

This month's Craft-A-Flower: POPPY is amazing! This new die set is just so detailed, but easy to put together with beautiful results.  Such a great design can be used for many formats of paper crafting.  I decided to used them to document a story in my Family album.

I started my layout by ink blending some Misty Mountain ink to the edges of the page.  While the ink settled, I used the CAF die to create all the flowers in the layout.

I used three of the blooms ( on each side of the page) to create a border atop the ink blended background.   I added a few splatters of the diluted ink, just to accent the background color.

Once the pictures were added.  I used the Celebrate us stamp set to add a few sentiments around the pictures.  Just love how easily this came together.

Remember to check the new CAF: POPPY in the Altenew shop, and sign up for a subscription,  This way you will receive the new release at your door each month.

Altenew Twinkle & Shine Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!

Welcome to ALTENEW TWINKLE & SHINE STAMPS/DIES/STENCILS/EMBOSSING FOLDERS COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.   You are arriving from Terri Kosler's blog.    You can find a list of all the participants at the bottom of this post.

It is time for a new release from Altenew, and this month's new products are sure to have you swooning for a bit.   There is so much to choose from that it was hard to pick a favorite!  Instead, I pretty much mixed and matched all the goodies in my projects.  Let me show you!

This is the only card created with this release.  I chose the SPARKLED STAMP AND DIE BUNDLE to create the flowers for the card using Sea Shore and Lapis Lazuli ink cubes.

The background for the card was created with the new BLUE WATERCOLOR WASHI TAPE, and a partial die cut from the Garden Trellis die.   The sentiment comes from the STRIPE CIRCLE STAMP SET, and sets perfectly in this card.

I used the new PEN SKETCHED SILHOUETTE stamp set to create this layout.  I used Coral Berry ink to create the florals behind the picture, and then accented the image by adding sentiments from the GOALS stamp set and the new EUCALYPTUS JAR Stamp set.

To complement the picture, I created a small pocket that houses my journal card.   I added a second stamped floral and a simple title using the stamps.   Then used the new ALTENEW FINE LINER PEN SET to add my lines of journal to the card.

My next project features the new MANDALA MAKER stamp set. I used this set to create a colorful background on my family album.   The new stamp set makes it really easy to create fun patterns on your projects.

I paired the colorful background with sentiments from the EUCALYPTUS JAR stamp set, then used the new Fineliner pen set to complete my journal lines.  Love how easy it was to bring color to the page.

The new CARTOON ROSE STAMP and DIE Bundle  is  a must in your collection.  I kept the flowers fairly simple by adding the details in light shades of grey.  Then used them to decorate the title tag of the page.

The tag was constructed by covering an existing one with the new PINK WATERCOLOR Washi Tape.  IN addition, I  used the Eucalyptus Jar stamp set to add a few more details to the layout, and finished the page by creating the title using the Stripe Circle stamp and the Mega Brush alpha stamp.

My last project features the new STRIPED CIRCLE stamp set and 2021 Stamp set.    I used these to create a cover for my 2021 Album ( it is never to early to plan a bit ahead!).

I used Sea Shore mini cube set to create the ombre effect on the layout and contrasted it with the black lines of the 2021 stamp.  Just a small detail completes the page.

I hope these help to inspire you and give you a few ideas on what to create with your stamps.  But, I know that you are all waiting for the GIVEAWAY!

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 3 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by 11/10/2020 for a chance to win.

Altenew will also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew Winners Page on 11/12/2020.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Hawaiian Coral Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there!

Welcome to ALTENEW'S BUILD-A-FLOWER: HAWAIIAN CORAL RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY.  You are arriving from Kelly Griglione's blog.   A list of all the participants is available at the bottom of the post -for your convenience-.

Today,  Altenew is releasing the new BUILD-A-FLOWER: HAWAIIAN CORAL.  This new set is beautiful, and the designs are just gorgeous.  I used the new BAF to create a new layout for my Family Album...

The larger sized blooms are just perfect to create a simple design on the TN style format.  I used the layering guide and inks from the Rose Petal and Tranquility ink sets to build the flowers and then used Black Obsidian ink to add the outline details of the flower.

I used the Brush Grid Washi Tape to cover the tag that serves as the base for the page.  Then used the flowers to create a large cluster at the bottom of the picture.

I used the same washi to create a paper strip for the next page, and then created a large cluster of the flowers at the top right corner of the page.  The title was then added using the sentiments from the stamp set!

Just love how this turned out, and the possibilities of this new BAF stamp set!  Remember to check the BAF subscription program, so that be sure not to miss any of the BAF releases.

AS usual, no blog hop is complete without a GIVEAWAY!!

Monthly Challenge - GRATITUDE - Pinkfresh Studio

Hello there!

A new month is here!  that means it is time for a new challenge from Pinkfresh Studio.  This month we are focusing on Gratitude and a fun color palette.  I am already working on my Gratitude journal, so it was so easy to create for the challenge:

Let me start with an entry to on my Gratitude Journal:

Since we celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks ago here in Canada, I have been working on a daily entry for over 2 weeks now.  This page is all about Family, especially my kids and littles.

Once the picture was enlarged to fit to the page of my album, my focus switched to the story,  For this, I cover the next page with the Grateful paper.  Then created a tag from the My Favorite paper, here I stamped the edge with brown ink and the Blushing Floral Cling Stamp set.  I used the dimensions of the tag to create my lines of journal on vellum and attached it to the tag.

I just added a few embellishments and a simple titles complete the page.  Love how this turned out, and decided to also create a Scrapbook layout about the same topic.

FOr this page, I used the Ornate Floral Die to cut three panels.  Then used the same die to cut a few of the papers from the collection that have the colors in the challenge palette.

I used the negative part of the flowers to create the background of the page.  This is possible, by first gluing the die cuts to a piece of vellum, then filling the images with the negative pieces of the die cuts.  This created the colorful floral piece.

The large stationery envelope from the collection as a way to frame the picture reel.   I used pieces from the chipboard, floral ephemera, stitched embellishments to finish decorating the page.

I used the collection alphas to complete the title work, and a few enamel dots to complete the page.   Remember to join in the challenge by linking your finished project to the Pinkfresh Studio challenge blog for  a change to win a $50 Gift certificate to the shop!

Good Luck!
