Who is loving the versatility of the Cute & Crafty collection?  I just love how easy you can transform this collection  into a vibrant, colorful page that  is not related to crafts.  Let me show you...

 

This time, my choice was to play with the papers in the collection and one of the  Borders & Edges die set to create a rainbow for my page.

I used the die to create the scalloped borders from the 6x6 rainbow stripe paper, then created 4 more stripes of each color in the stripe.  These are glued together to the page to create a vertical scalloped edge rainbow background.

I am placing the photo at the top left corner of the page.  This is surrounded by 3x4 cut apart cards, bits and pieces, and chit chat pieces.

I placed my title at the bottom right corner of the scalloped background.   I am using Chit Chat pieces to create the title.  Then  adding  a few more embellishments to bulk up the title, so that it balances the page.

Just love how easy it was to transform a crafty collection into this page.   Remember to share your project ideas with us, we love to see how you use the collections!

Today, Altenew is releasing a new set of stencils, and stand-alone dies that are sure to your creativity going. Let me show you what I have created:

I love layering stencils! I used the newBrick Rosette Builder Stencil Set, pigment inks, and Antique Gold embossing powder to create the background of the card panel. The sentiment of the card was created with the new YOU MATTER die set, All About You Words die set, and Glitter Cardstock.. Just love the color combo in this card!

For this card, I combined a few of the new released goodies.  Starting with the ILLUSION HEXAGON stencil  in the background of the card panel.  The flowers were created with the new IMPRESSION BOUQUET Stencil/die set, while  the large branch  was created wit the new IN LINE LEAVES die set and Gradient Cardstock. Finally the card sentiment comes from the YOU MATTER die set.  This card was so fun to put together.

My last card is also a combination of  new goodies.  The background of the slimline card was created with the BRICK ROSETTE BUILDER Stencil set.   I am using the CAF: California Giants to create my flower, while the large leaf comes from the new POLKA DOT LEAVES die set.  Once again, I am combining the All About You Words die set, and YOU MATTER die set to create the sentiment of the card.  

I had so much fun creating just cards with this release -you can see two more cards I created in the  Altenew Card blog-.

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: White Swan Echinacea Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ( $200 in total prizes)

This month's PAINT-A-FLOWER: WHITE SWAM ECHINACEA Outline Stamp Set is beautiful in design, simple to color, and has some of the most versatile sentiments.   I decided to use the stamp set on an art journal/memory keeping page...

I love the movement in the PAF: White Swam Echinacea image, and all I could think was flowers in the wild just swinging around.   My choice was to stamp -with Obsidian Pigment ink-  the image to frame the bottom half of the page ( using watercolor paper for this).

I used Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan set, and Altenew Artist Watercolor Brushes to paint the  flowers, then added a wash of blue watercolor to the page.   Once the paint dried, I sprinkled White and Antique Gold Ink Spray and let the page complete dry on its own.

I decided to use this page in my journal, but kept it very simple. Just added the photo and a few embellishments to the left of the page,

 Then added a small sentiment from Goals Stamp set as the title for my page, followed by a few journal lines!  LOVE how this turned out!!!

Pinkfresh Studio The Best Day Collection Release Blog Hop

Welcome to PINKFRESH STUDIO THE BEST DAY COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP.  Today, we are celebrating the new release of this gorgeous collection, and what better way than to share inspiration created with it.   

I wanted something really graphic for my page.  So I started to  add a bit of color to the background using Peach Fuzz and Candied Violet ink to the page.  The diluted ink works  great as watercolor. 

 While the ink dried, I used the Lea Ornate Uppercase  Die set, and Heather Uppercase Die Set to cut the words "Fall Beauty" from different papers from the collection.

The alpha die cuts were glued to the page  so that they become the background and title of the layout.  

I used a few pieces of papers, Journaling bits, and cut apart papers to create the layers behind the photo.  The floral ephemera in this collection is sublime. I added a few of the pieces at the bottom corner of the photo to balance the large title behind it.

To finish, I created a small fold at the bottom of the page.   A few extra elements behind the folded paper complete the page.  Just love how this turned out. The new THE BEST DAY COLLECTION is truly a beautiful collection.

Of course no release celebration is complete without prizes..
